• It would be helpful for you to say where you physically got it from

The navy exchange mall. You gotta be in service to buy it or know someone

Everyone I know calls it the BX, Base Exchange.

My friend took me a couple times. Tax free. Pretty cool.

    Who do you know? Lol

Wouldn't you like to know lol.

I'm used to dumbasses who think they know shit, when they don't know shit at all. They were just led to believe they did, like everyone else.

It depends on what branch you’re in. I’m in the army and we call it the PX

First sgt said stop playing games and meet him in the company office

  • I wish I knew somebody In Hawaii lol.

But I just got a gen 1 Legion Go for $150 pretty much brand new so I can't complain lol.

Well that is an insane steal so you are good to go haha

    How?

Guy was selling it because it was "defective". Took a gamble and bought it to find out that the battery connector had just come loose. Plug it back in and it works perfectly.

Seems the price keeps halving, last week someone got it for $300. In a few months it'll be $1.

    150? Probably stolen.

as if thats gonna mean something to anyone lol

  • I can get it here in Korea for $1000 because of how strong the dollar is against the won

Im visiting Korea in Feb and ordered mine on Lenovo Korea website

The estimated shipping time is end of January

Wait you ordered a Legion Go 2 from Lenovo Korea? How much did you pay? I didn’t know it was possible to order right now.

Ohhhh boy I just found that page as well, and I’ll be in Korea for pickup……. Damn this is really bad on the wallet but they’ve got a big sale going on….. to buy or not to buy, hmm!!

The price actually slightly increased from a week ago by about 9000 KRW, but it's still good

I'm in Canada where Lenovo is dead silent and we have no clue on when we'd get another stock, but since I'm visiting Korea soon, I checked out Lenovo site a couple weeks ago and voila!

With how weak KRW has gotten recently, I pay less than I would in Canada with MSRP + tax, even with 2.5% FX fee on my credit card

Yeah I’m from Canada too! And I’m eyeing the 1TB model at 1.6m krw, which I think is still cheaper than the $1500CAD MSRP + taxes right?

Only thing I can think of is warranty issues and I heard credit card extended warranty only applies if the original warranty is valid in Canada or US, which I don’t think this one is…. but I’m spending a year in Seoul so maybe it’ll be okay.

    Cool!

Yeah, I ordered on Dec. 16th when the price of 1TB model was 15926604 KRW, which was $1532.86 CAD for me.

Definitely way cheaper than $1499.99 + 12% tax here in BC.

And I assume Lenovo warranty works internationally, which means the credit card extended protection (warranty extension) insurance would work. (my credit card's certificate of insurance says Extended Protection automatically provides you, without registration, with triple the term of the manufacturer’s warranty up to a maximum of two additional full years commencing immediately following the expiry of the applicable manufacturer’s warranty on most items purchased anywhere in the world when at least a portion of the purchase price is charged to the card and the original manufacturer’s warranty is honoured in Canada or the United States. Valid warranties over five years can be covered if registered with us within the first year after purchase of the item.)

UGH I just know my wallet is gonna suffer, but at least it won’t suffer as much if I wanted for MSRP here hahaha. This discovery is amazing and horrible at the same time.

I just hope the build quality is better than the Legion Go S, cause that one feels so cheap and hollow compared to my Ally X, which I’ll now be returning lol

lol, I'm sorry that I made you splurge on your stay in Korea

I hope so, too. It's my first handheld/UMPC and I'm looking forward to the glorious 8.8" OLED screen

Also, since you are staying for a long time in Korea, I recommend getting this film and have it installed by a professional in Korea for protection

I don't like the bulky TPU case that's the only thing available right now for Legion Go 2, which doesn't let you detach controllers without taking the whole case off

I live here so not hard, I have a Korean bank so I just take dollar out and exchange at this place off base that’s gets the best rates

  • Wish I could find one in the Midwest. Noone has them. Might just go for legion s z1e steam os, but not sure if it’s a big enough upgrade from my deck.

It is but if you have the money to blow I’d get the latest and greatest

Yeah that’s my plan. Hoping next week Best Buy will get some more stock.

I wouldn't say it's that big of an upgrade considering the price.

  • Oddly enough I got my Legion Go 1 there on release. Cheaper taxes on my purchase also didn't hurt.

  • They restocked? I thought they ran out lol.

  • If only we could get just a single unit in NZ ...

  • This is how I picked up the Nintendo Switch on launch back in 2017. I went to the GameStop by the PX and they had a whole stack of them, it was amazing.
