I love my Legion Go 2, but I wanted what the Legion Go 2 has in the form factor of a Legion Go S. I have zero interest in mouse mode or detachable controllers, all I want is an efficient APU, 8" OLED with VRR, and a comfortable form factor.
I find my LeGo2 comfortable and I don't find it particularly heavy, but I still like the way the LeGoS feels better in my hands.
Yeah everyone (and every company) has to make their own choice there. If I have the choice between an LCD screen and a 20% stronger APU, I'm choosing OLED every time.
Same could be said about the legion go s vs the OG go. I am sure at some point once Lenovo is happy with the LG2 sales they will push the LG2S which i anticipate will be a Z2E, 80w battery and the same screen and form factor.
I think it’s more likely they just upgrade chip to z2e and that’s all, but it will be fine as 17-20w is where chip shines and will be ok battery life + fan noise

Even if it was $1350, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Yes the detachable controllers are kind of gimmicky in my opinion.
Same. Even if it’s ips screen.
I won't buy anything LCD in 2025 and beyond unless there's no other choice
I mean if it came down to display or a stronger chip…the chip might win. It’s up to the comoany

Gotcha. Understood.
In that instance, what would be the point of the Go 2.
Detachable controllers and bigger screen size
Larger screen, detachable controllers, mouse mode.
Oled
This is assuming that the hypothetical Legion Go S 2 would have an OLED VRR screen as well.

This is exactly what they'll do as they want more skus out there and revisions.

I hope so.
I’m waiting for ces to see if they show new devices , also waiting for a new Msi claw with panther lake
Are we sure they are gonna release a new handheld? I mean I know yearly is the thing but are we sure they will let us know at ces?
I mean I’m not sure, that’s why I’m waiting before buying, but last year Lenovo revealed go s and go 2 and Msi revealed there handheld.
8" z2e oled vrr steamOS 80kw/h and i pay what they ask.
7.5" would work too
Anything with that OLED VRR panel is gonna be 4 figures I fear. They would dominate the current market at $999 if they had an 8in OLED VRR with a Z2E
Get you a rog if you want them baby screens bro
7.4” is actually a perfect screen size. I was hoping Rog ally would do that.
They did its called the legion go 2
You know damn well what I mean, smart Alec.
Yes. All day yes.
GO S with OLED plus Z2E will be 10/10!
With what I want, there has to be compromises. The oled is the compromise.
You want this at what price?
Maybe 1k to compete with the msi claw? Thats fair yeah?
I mean, its likely already being worked on but the legion go s literally just dropped this year. Patience is important.
Maybe late next year, if Valve decides to release the Steam Deck 2 in 2027 or later
Who knows they might pull out altogether and just lean on partnership. Not sure how much they get from Lenovo but it must be pretty good.
Would be the greatest handheld on the market of priced correctly
Just put a bigger battery in it yourself.
I’m sure it’s just that easy.
No
