I mean they just announced that they're making an Isolation sequel and a lot of the features sound like it, especially AI adapting to the player. Could literally just be that and not a huge surprise.

We already have Alien: Isolation sequel confirmed, if this is really a different game it looks like it's copying a LOT of Isolation's homework...
While Ripley 8 works okay within Resurrection, having a superhero part-alien version of Ripley running around doesn't feel like Alien anymore.
Now Ripley 8 in an Alien v Predator movie/game etc. I could wrap my head around more since those movies and as a expanded franchise has a different vibe from Alien.
That being said, a quality game is a quality game, so we'll see.

There’s a community that still play AVP2 online after Sierra closed the servers and there’s a good reason why we keep coming back to AVP2 even with all these modern games.
That guy is an engagement farmer. However, some sequel to alien isolation is probably in the works. There has been a couple games I know of since and I feel they know isolation was a fan favourite. Isolation did fall below segas expectations. But it was critically successful and they know it’s a safe bet. Maybe I’m just hoping too much. Isolation was my favourite game of that generation.
