Lords of the Fallen 2 developer and publisher Hexworks and CI Games are getting flak in the video game industry for a single tweet that confirmed the game will feature attractive characters and outfits. We discuss how far video games have fallen that this creative decision is worthy of ridicule, along with Sony’s AI patent that will censor games in real time, Ubisoft admitting Assassin’s Creed Shadows was controversial, how ugly Farah is in the new Prince of Persia remake, and more!

  • I'd like to show my support, but I'm not buying it on Epic.

My thoughts exactly. I loved the last game after all their changes. Even removed body types. They earned so much good will, just to throw it all away with an epic exclusive game.

If it ever comes to steam I'll buy it.

You know what the worst thing will be? The game will be DOA because its a fucking epic exclusive and the wokies are unfortunately still smart enough to exploit that for their narrative. The actual truth doesnt matter

Why are developers still making epic exclusives? It just does not work.

I mean apparently they have been selling nice on consoles but especially PS version had terrible performance even after the definitive patch. That will make a lot of people not grab the 2nd one.

They said that they needed that money to even make the game and that's why they took the deal, or so they claim.

What are they "exploiting" by point out a fact? The first game didn't make a profit, the CEO himself confirmed this on Twitter, so they presumably opted for a guaranteed payout for the sequel. LotF simply isn't a profitable IP, that's just the facts.

Me too. I actually appreciated how much effort they made to try and turn LotF 1 around.

I get that the Epic Game Store isn't great, but if the game is worth it, which I have faith it will, having it even on a not great platform is better than not having it.
Otherwise there is the option of buying it on console but that's obviously not possible for everyone.

I'm personally very excited to play it, even on the Epic Game Store. In these "trying times", it's nice to have a studio that delivers to its true audience and has shown that they want to deliver a better product.

You're right to an extent. And it's not even Epic exclusive entirelly, after all, it's going to be available on ThePiratebay!

I guess 😅 I'm pretty sure I'll buy it anyway unless something really drastic happens before it releases. I really like Lords of the Fallen, though I totally understand the appeal of having all your gaming library in the same place. I can only hope it will be good enough to win over sceptics.

If they were selling it on GOG as well but not steam then i would consider. Epic is the issue, fuck epic. No way in hell i'm giving them even a broken cent.

  • It’s kinda crazy that nobody gonna support this game because it’s going to be an Epic game store exclusive.

understandable tho. whatever happened to that thing where epic was caught datamining your shit?

    such a clownish industry.

I let steam analyze my hardware for the survey

epic doesnt give you a choice in the matter, doesnt compensate you for that info, and goes for logins and banking info rather than system and hardware specs.

  • Developers need to understand these parasites have as much power as the developers allow them to. People don't give a fuck about IGN anymore, and even if they did, no one is going to cancel Stellar Blade 2's pre-order because an IGN cuck of an editor will complain that Eve is very sexy. If anything, they'll buy another copy for a friend.

  • social media has destroyed gaming as much as woke infiltration, it's a cesspool of fuckers waiting for a reason to seethe. had he stayed silent and do his thing noone would've made a case about it but nope, gotta engage in social conversations

  • Epic exclusive (forever according to CEO posted agreement), fuck them.

  • I just checked and the Ceo himself said in April last year the first game was still not profitable. ( x.com/i/status/1914046034243654127 )

They might have had no alternative than taking the Epic deal.

It's kind of a deal with the devil and something tells me, they won't break even either, if it stays an Epic exclusive on PC.

  • I bought the second version of the first game (and the actual first game) to support these devs across the years, and I even adore the CEO and support his actions in this front. Unfortunately though I won't be buying Lords of the Fallen 2 due to epic exlcusivity. Never installed it, never will install it. I'm aware the game will likely never be on Steam, but I'm okay with that, and I hope they learn to stop taking exclusivity contracts next time.

  • Why screw yourself and fans over with it being epic exclusive wtf... what a shame
