He was hitting it just fine on his stacyc and didn’t believe me when I said it’ll be different on his regular bike. Told him to put on a helmet and have at it
Hello everyone! As a reminder this is a satire subreddit for the dumb/silly things children do. The subreddit name is not literal. Although posts can have kids doing actual "stupid" things. It is not a requirement. Yes, blaming the parent is valid. However, this does not mean crossing the line into actually insulting the parent is ok (assuming they are the OP) (Rule #1).
This is also not a hate sub for children. If you don't like kids, that's fine. Just don't spread vitriol.
The hardest lessons are learned best through experience! I remembered my realization about that when I let myself get bit by a turtle after seeing all my friends and siblings be bit in the past, told myself it couldn’t hurt that bad 🤣
As a kid it sure did! And I sure don’t want to find out as an adult
Haha I was glad it was gentle, too! Luckily I made him wear the helmet since he went straight down on his head. But the dirtbike falls are when it gets scary lol he only knows one speed-fast as fuck
And that’s how we learn our limits! I still have a scar in my stomach from thinking I could climb anything at the age of four. That tree was not nice, and I never went near it til we moved. Course… at the next house the huge tree was too good to avoid…
hey, fellow parent here, you did the right thing on this one. he’s at that age where he needs to explore, test his boundaries with self trust and fear and dedication. he may get a little scratched up this time, maybe next time too, but i promise he will not only learn to clear that ramp but he’ll also be so proud to show mama every
time. just make sure he doesnt get too hurt and keep the pads and helmet on.

This kid ain’t stupid, he is playing outside!
This sub is fucking stupid
This sub brings me endless joy.
That's some good parenting.
I genuinely mean that; Kids got to learn these lessons themselves.

Kid has helmet, kid wants to do that jump, fails.
Not stupid. He is learning.
And the boots for maximum endurance
Almost looks like he bailed out on the jump after landing it. 😂
Omg is it weird I kinda thought this was adorable. I was really scared when I pressed play but then it ended up being satisfyingly gentle.

My wife panics, I just try to make it as safe as possible. It's worked out so far
Absolutely! I can’t be a panicky mom, because both of my boys are feral

Fact
bike + ramp + boy= skinned knee
You mean you didn't blame the bike and take it away? How dare you!! Precious little Johnny shouldn't have to suffer the trauma of a grazed knee!!

Seriously though, nothing wrong here. Kids gotta learn from their mistakes.
