• Man, it's common chemistry. Anti fish is bird, anti oil is soap, so throw in some bird soap

    Like the song goes; It’s more than a bird, it’s more than a plane - it’s a bird-plane.

  • I'd make the children wear the smelly clothes 🤣

  • Why are YOU doing this? Make the kid do all this washing and stressing until they get the smell out.

  • I'll toss the kids away

  • They have soaps designed for fishermen like dead down wind. Hopefully moms able to figure something out. Also if it's OK to be stained you can soak in a bin of coffee grounds and lemon juice and vinegar. They are natural oder nutralizers.

I live in a family of hunters, fishers, and up in a area with all sorts of animals that can leave nasty messes for you. Plus some family also collects carcasses to collect bones, make taxidermy, ect. Things get STINKY if you don't know how to clean it.

Jesus, who’s your family? The Beverly Hillbillies?! 🤣🤣🤣

Lmao guess we do live in the country. It's a small town and food is expensive and we have like 4 restaurants most just serving burgers and 1 Mexican place. So hunting and fishing gives us variety and taxidermy gives a income. Bones sell to people for crafts, collecting, and dogs to chew up. It give a few hundred to extra couple $1000 depending how much we care to work for it. But ngl yeah we do sound like hillbillies. Lol

  • Add garlic butter rosemary and fry them up….

  • I'd make the children wear the smelly clothes 🤣

  • Air them outside for a day then rewash them. It happens to me when I forget clothes in the washer all day and then mildew smell won’t go away no matter how many times I immediately rewash them. After they air out I can wash them again and get that stank out. Not sure how well it will do against fish oils but hoping that can save you from tossing your clothes.

  • This sucks so bad because I bet dawn dish soap would get it out, but that would be bad for the washer (and the floor around the washer.)

Some kind of laundry stripper? I have used "funk rock" to strip laundry but idk if it would work for this.

    Hand wash with dish soap?

That is what I would do. But doing a whole load of laundry would be SUCH a pain in the ass.

Just curious, why is Dawn bad for the washer? Apart from pulling ye ol’ Bobby Brady stunt.

The excessive suds don't just leak out of the washer, the can leak into the washer and gum up the actual mechanics and/or eat at seals and pumps and other soft parts. You might be able to do it and have no long term damage to the machine, but there is no way to control for that. It's a risk.

Thank you for taking the time to explain!

  • Hmmm fish oil capsules... Writes in petty revenge notebook

  • * It's a lengthy process! Had to look it up. You never know when you might need the info. We moved to the country in 2016 and our precious pooch has been skunked a few times. I didn't know what I was doing and the only thing I did have was tomato juice😅. It worked, thank goodness.

  • 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
