We have placed CB Trent McDuffie, WR Rashee Rice, WR Tyquan Thornton, and CB Jaylen Watson on Reserve/Injured.
We have signed Practice Squad players DE Ethan Downs, CB Melvin Smith, and TE Tyreke Smith to active roster contracts.
We have activated CB Nazeeh Johnson from Reserve/Injured.

The state of the 2025 season
But will any of them get playing time? It would seem they would want to see the young guys at this point, but that doesn't seem to be what Andy wants.
Andy probably thinks there’s still a chance of a playoff spot so he’ll be running a vanilla offense to “save” the big plays for post season 🤦♂️
I'm not dead yet!
I never expected to see full tank mode so soon.
It was happening after we lost to the Texans.
I meant so soon after that legendary run. Of course now makes sense.
The writing was on the wall last season.
Meh of course everyone's a prophet now. This team was in the SB this calendar year and almost ran the table in the reg season. Sure everyone saw that they over performed but full tank mode 9 months later is still surprising. But again everyone's Nostradamus now and could totally see this collapse.
From somebody who is not a chiefs fan, seeing them 11-0 in one-score games in 2024 meant they were primed for regression. I thought that meant something like 10-7 to 12-5 this year based on simple mathematical regression. I didn’t think the bottom would fall out quite like it did.
The offense has been compete ass by every metric for the past three seasons. The entire scheme has been Mahomes save us, make a play. Good luck.
The wake up call should’ve been last season when the backups played and looked completely inept against the Broncos.
Having a great defense and generational talent at QB lets you get away with a lot of shit. We went from clutch and barely winning to consistently losing the 1 score games.
We're 9th in EPA per play this year lol
EPA is FINALLY starting to get shown to not be the end all be all Stat the dorks want it to be.
I didn't say it was. The person I replied to said we've been bad in every offensive metric for 3 years. That's not even close to being true
I’m going to be honest. Every advanced metric football stat is stupid as fuck. They largely don’t tell a single relevant story to a teams wins or losses.
The dorks wanted to baseball up football, but football isn't played that way. For one thing the sample size is always tiny, which is why Mahomes miracles can cause wild swings in metrics.
Naw, we fans were begging to fire EB, even after his success because the offense was stalling, thinking Nagy had some magic. And then last season's reddit posts were filled with "we won, somehow" and "in Veach we trust" (but not in a good way). We fans knew the wheels were coming off.
We lost 0 - 38 to the Broncos last year with some of our starters playing with the 2nd team. Couldn't even put up 3 points. And then the Super bowl...
I thought it was pretty evident that they were a lot better then their record was. I honestly felt like they were frauds that kept finding ways to win.
Everything was bouncing their way were a 9/10 win team at best.
Kelce and Chris Jones getting older and nearing retirement. In the offseason, Rashee Rice suspension, knew this team would miss the playoffs this year.
No it wasn't. That was a warning shot. Week 6 was the chest pain. Week 10 should have been the moment they realized it may be past fixing. The Texans game was just straight denial. The Chargers game was the heart attack and Reid is still up there talking about changing the diet and cleaning up his food choices.
At some point people just have to make peace with the fact that the NFL changed because of Mahomes and the coaches failed to change with it because they just never really saw this as a problem.
It wasn't Reid that carried Mahomes. I think it's pretty obvious these past few seasons it was the other way around.
Then why didn't our rookie RB get carries against the Titans? Why did Royals get 3 snaps? Why didn't Nohl Williams play much?
Andy is still playing vets when we'd be far better off evaluating the young guys. He may be in denial, but it doesn’t make sense.
Kelce tomorrow like
They should sign his friend Ross…. He once was on the practice squad.
Prepare to be 11-teamed!
They’re gonna do this and then still play Worthy for 90% of snaps when he should be getting surgery and play Royals for 5% of snaps with 0 targets.
And brashard smith will get a solid 3 opportunities as well, naturally. God forbid we actually see what guys have in a season that is wasted.
Andy Reid, the greatest offensive mind in the NFL at his PEAK
And juju will be out there for over 90% of the snaps just to get his cardio in, but at least he knows the system
TBH they’re signaling who they believe is important for the future. Thornton may be injured, but it’s clear he’s a solid weapon to have on your roster and we don’t want him to go out there and play well enough for another team to justify paying him 10M a year, which we really can’t afford. Worthy isn’t going anywhere yet.
I’m more concerned about his ankle, I know it hasn’t been on the injury report in a little while but he doesn’t seem to be moving as well
Worthy is still young and needs to get better. I don’t fault them for playing him. Especially when guys like Juju and Brown are on their way out.
Draft positioning now. I endorse it.
What is the highest pick that we could get? Everyone spends so much time with playoff probabilities but what is our probability for a top 10 or top 5 pick?
I think tying for 7/8th pick is the highest possible. But 10-12 is very likely.
All in for #7
Keep going. I’m almost there
Our ceiling is 8, because of tiebreakers. But it’s very unlikely were better than 10
0% statistic probability of a top 6 pick. Six teams could win out and Chiefs lose out and Chiefs would still have a better record.
Anything inside top 10 i feel like is a win
Fuck that beat the Donkeys!
Literally for what? 💀
Because they're the Broncos. Last year's 0 - 38 loss was embarrassing. We had some starters mixed in with the 2nd team and still couldn't put up 3 points.
Literally the only thing that matters now is draft position and evaluating young players
Because fuck the donkeys. Beating them with our backups would be hilarious. It would be with moving down a few spots in the draft
Wow. 3 guys I've legitimately never heard of before. Uncharted territory here.
Downs is a DE previously from Jacksonville on practice squad most of season, Melvin Smith is a CB signed as a undrafted free agent in offseason, so been on practice squad the whole season I think. TE was a practice squad addition maybe mid season I think.
“”Fuck it, Tyreke down there somewhere”
MahomesMinshew-Oladokun
Give backups some snaps
And why can’t that new RB have a chance? Not like this game means anything except bragging rights and draft picks
Roster update: entire team KIA 😔
I don’t think the donkeys want to deal with enraged swifties firebombing their cars.
Now let's put Trey, Creed, pop and CJ on ir
I mean, might as well let Pop play. After next week vs the Raiders he will be done in a Chiefs uniform.
Yeah but my thought was if he's on IR they have to play Smith or pierce and could evaluate what they have
Two game tryouts in the parking lot. Must have entire knowledge of Big Reid’s playbook.
Playing time. Unlikely.
But the job security when he’s decided you “know the system” ? Unparalleled
Just lose out baby
But will any of those cats play or just the knowns?
After the first 8 weeks of the season, I knew all of the plays in our playbook.
TANK FOR PETER WOODS BABY
Still no jake sad
"So, how much am I getting paid to be brutalized by the Broncos, on national TV, on Christmas night? Cuz whatever you said, it should be 2xs that number."
Taking no chances on accidentally getting a win
Tyreke Smith SZN
These guys figured out the playbook but Damien Pearce can't....according to Reid
Yea. It’s all a big joke at this point regarding the “complicated offense!” No one believes it anymore.
Let's go get that L, boys!
Merry Christmas :’(
Oh more bad news!
Who the shit is Ethan Downs
DE previously played for Jacksonville. Been on practice squad for large part of season. Tryout in a game or 2 possible now.
Tank mode activated.
This could be a 40-0 typa game
Idk if we can hold them to nothing. Broncos will probably get at least a field goal. /s
[removed]
So I guess adding Laura Kelley to the Hunt household staff doesn't go on the 53-man?
In other words, we’re going to be creamed today.
Feels like the roster from The 2nd preseason game.
That Jeremiah Love pick gonna hit like crack!
No, please no.
For another team …..sure
If he's the best player available then KC has to get him. Drafting by need is what got this roster in a mess.
If they have a chance to finally get a top 3 Edge rusher thats who they draft.
Whats a RB gonna do in a system that doesn’t use it.
I have a lot more faith that Spags will get the most of a DE than Reid with an RB
Peter Woods is the only DE worth a 1st round pick and he'll be gone. Nagy should be gone and the current RBs absolutely suck. Hopefully a new OC will revitalize the run game. Love is gonna be a stud. A bigger, stronger, faster Jamyr Gibbs.
Nagy wont be gone. Reid is loyal to a fault. Unless he gets another HC job KC will be stuck with him. If they are able to get a second 1st rbd pick then Sure, pick Love. Otherwise they need to get a DE
Nagy … when is he going on the Reserve list?
Damn, Pat got those boys killed against the chargers
Ridiculous! 😡
