Look, I honestly couldn’t care about this rule. Like, yeah sure, I do have a sailor mouth, I won’t deny that. But it’s not that I’m angry about it, more so confused. First of all, this is Reddit. Children shouldn’t even be on here to begin with, so it makes no sense to include a no profanity rule. It just makes the mods look sensitive. I can understand the slurs part, but it feels odd to lump profanity in there to begin with. Like, what, you can’t handle one “shit”, even? I think it’s made worse for them because they have posts regarding this “no profanity” rule, and both of them were locked before any comments were made. Which seems like they knew what would come with this and got too scared of the consequences.
But again, this isn’t a big deal. Just something I'd rather not be a part of. I can visit other YoungPeople subreddits if need be.

That's because 90% of that sub is kids.
Kids, or creepers pretending to be kids?
actual kids
Whats the minimum age requirement for reddit?
13 but in some regions more. But it's not enforced well.
Gonna be honest, I could not care less about the TOS. As someone who’s been on here for five years, I can confidently say Reddit is NOT for even young teens. Maybe 16yos at the VERY least.
Ah fair enough then, could have sworn it was 16, but ig Im thinking of something else lmao
It's 17 on iPhones, maybe you thought of that?
Nah I got android lmao. No clue what I was thinking of
Reminds me of the South Park episode where saying “shit” brought back the black plague and an angry dragon. Must’ve taken it literally.

almost every youngpeopleblank subreddit is mainly just children making fun of slightly younger children
