Can confirm, took my son and his friends to a show since they are underage.
It was the worst show I’ve ever seen in my life, but they had a great time. The way they excitedly talked in the car on the way back reminded me of when I was 15 going to shows of bands my dad would have hated… 10/10, would take them to shitty shows again.
I saw them support busted as adults a couple years ago. They were genuinely great and it made me sad that they haven't re-released everything with them grown up
As a father of twin toddlers I love seeing this stuff. I get to be a pretty big softie with my little ones. My landlord would be super pissed if I tried to pay him in happiness this month though.
I do side work at a major stadium and got to work at one of her shows during the eras tour. Say what you will about Taylor Swift but it was hands down the best, happiest crowd I’ve ever seen come through that stadium. Not everyone went into the show, but it was a lot of parents that were really happy seeing their kids really happy.
It's worth noting to anyone who doesn't know the name / see him in the background of the one shot Op here is a relatively famous comedian who has starred in TV shows and movies, it's not just some dad.
I have been out of the Swift cult for about ten years now but even back in the 90s when the big act was Britney, dads taking their kids to shows were the best thing about pop shows. It's less about the act they're seeing and more about wholesome love and sharing a passion.
Also, I best know Scheer from The League and various bit parts in movies so I was a bit shocked to see that account tag on this video. But I do love when people set out to mock others and realize the community inherent in hobbies and pasttimes. I guess you don't really know until you're in it, but I love watching people get sucked into stuff like this.

Great fathers. We should really celebrate them.

Muahahaha. That's definitely something I would hear myself say. I'm really curious about who you went to.
Oof, apologies in advance for what you are about to experience.
Nine Vicious
He likes other music too, but he and his friends wanted to see this show. 🤷♂️
My mom went with me to a Hanson concert when no one else would and it’s one of the most vivid and happy memories I have of her. True love indeed.
Haha heck yeah! Hansen was the shit
Still is, duh. Met them at great American beer fest of all places, pretty chill guys.
I saw them support busted as adults a couple years ago. They were genuinely great and it made me sad that they haven't re-released everything with them grown up
Also saw them on that tour, and also sad that they haven't gained any more traction as adults because they're a talented bunch.
Well, they haven’t rereleased all of their popular songs from when they were kids as adults, but they’ve done a whole lot of them.

the full vid is here. I think even if you're not a taylor fan, the vid is still really wholesome to watch
It’s not the people that’s the problem, it’s the person who exploits and takes advantage of them that is.

Paul Scheer is great. Just a very funny, thoughtful, and genuine guy. I enjoy pretty much all of his acting, writing, improv and podcasting

Wait is OP Paul Scheer?
King dads
Very cute, but why does it sound like this is playing from a dusty vinyl record?
good job On The content creator to flip the narrative
Interesting PR
Those dads are just happy it's Taylor Swift and not Burzum or something.
This would have been heartwarming, if the celebrity in question weren't a greedy billionaire who clearly doesn't give a shit about her fans.
What's a shortswaiting?
oh man, im so sorry. i did not notice that while typing. "dads in cargo shorts waiting in parking lots"
Nah youre good. We knew what you meant. That dudes just bein a dick.
