Hi, my flight will be departing at 2:15pm from Haneda Airport.
I would like to know if there are private onsen rooms nearby the airport or if anyone has other suggestions on how to spend the evening? I would like to have a private place for me and my partner to store our luggages and shower before the flight but I am open to hearing any suggestions.
As for the hotel in Terminal 3, called Villa Fontaine Grand, I can’t seem to find the day use rates because the links are broken. Does anyone know how much it is to stay there hourly?
I've walked by the Villa Fontaine Grand-it is connected directly to Terminal 3, and boasts an onsen-I'm looking at their site (here in Japan) and it looks like the cheapest rooms are ¥50K/person-¥70K/person this month, at least. The "AI" summary in Google about hourly rates seems a little suspect; on the site itself those hourly rates are for extending your stay beyond checkout. But you should call them to see if it is also available.
There is also a First Class 'capsule' style hotel at Terminal 1-I stayed at one actually in Tokyo in between flights for a few hours. It wasn't a climb in capsule, more like just a really really small room (basically a bed and some storage). They also had an onsen and shower.
The other option of course depends on your airline-I fly JAL, and their Sakura Lounge is pretty nice. If you are flying Economy Plus or Business you can get access to it. They have showers, some really comfortable lounge chairs, luggage storage, etc...
I recall reading somewhere due to some weird Tokyo municipal anti vice ordinance, Men and Women are not allowed to be in the same Onsen bath.
So a legit private onsen will only be found outside of Tokyo.
Maeno no yu (traditional) and Kudochi (modern) both offer private rooms. Both aren't near the airport though.

It says on the reservation site that mixed bathing is not allowed.
Ohh wow thank you, I did not know that
Anyway, a budget friendly way might be to make a pit stop at a manga cafe. Some have free showers, soda fountains and lockable rooms.

This one is on the keikyu line to Haneda.
If it’s too much of a hassle maybe can consider paying for one more night at your final hotel and checking out at 10pm. Haneda is located very close to Tokyo and is a short ride by taxi from most of the popular touristed areas.
I think this is it: https://www.shopping-sumitomo-rd.com/eng/haneda/spa-izumi/userguide.html Costs ¥4,800.
I know there is a shower facility on Haneda Terminal 3 arrival floor (floor 2). You get 30 minutes (I actually got about 40 minutes) for ¥1,500. I used it before flying back home in August. https://tokyo-haneda.com/en/service/facilities/shower_room.html
Could be worth checking but the last 2 times I've flown out of Haneda after midnight we got lounge access free even though we were economy. This will depend on airline - this was with Japan Airlines/British Airways but could be worth asking - this was never advertised as part of the ticket so we only found out when we went to check in.
