First time traveler. Wanted to know if anyone has used Baluko Laundry Service and if i can use the suica. Based on reviews its really good and they have an app. Any help would be appreciated, might have to check with my hotel too.

  • For the all in one washer/dryer, pay by app or 100yen coins in machine and cash is ok using the separate payment machine. For the dryer, coins or via app.

    No suica.

  • My go to laundry place, I always go to the one near Ginza, always used it without fail. Just a fair note, make sure to have coins with you, they accept 100 yen coins for the machine, nothing else than 100 yen coins, they do have a bill change machine but it only accept 1000 yen bills.

Make sure to have like literally 100 yen coins with you its stupid easy to use and the machines have detergent in them so you dont need to bring your own detergent.

For a medium batch it cost me around 800 yen to 1000 yen ish, because for the dryers for each 100 yen its 10 mins so you can adjust the duration of the time of the dryers.

its nice because the laundry place is open 24 hours, when your running your dryer you can walk around the area and enjoy the sites while doing laundry.

Im in Ginza and the one I am going is 5 minutes away. Thank you.

  • Thanks. Will do.

  • Basically most hotels have washing machines and separate dryers - combo machines are often not that reliable though.
Else, in the bigger cities there are 24/7 coin laundries all over the place. Where you can just put in your laundry, leave for like an hour and than come back to pick it back up.

Mine doesnt. But they helped point out a few near me. Baluko is one of them. I do not have their app so will have to use coin.
