RIP😥
He has to be a hero to survive all what he has gone through.
All those hardships he survived only to have his life cut short by a coward. Truly sad.
All his would-be murderers were all cowards. Humanity is truly evil.
This fills me with an unspeakable rage. To have survived the Nazis, and live to see the progress made, the creation of the state of Israel, then to see it all sliding back at the end of your life and then to have your actual life ended by a f*cking terrorist.
May his memory be a blessing.
After all he has gone through...rest in peace Alex Kleytman🙏
May he rest in the arms of god!
May his memory forever be a blessing. 💔
May his memory forever be a blessing and may his loved ones find peace.
This whole thing is so heartbreaking. How many times does this have to happen before people wake up?
I seriously do not understand how people can sit there and post anti semitic crap on TikTok or X whilst Jews are getting murdered every single day for existing. They still spread conspiracy theories about Jews and control while Jews are still being oppressed everywhere, especially in Europe, North America, and the Middle East. I don’t get it.
I am so angry and upset even though I’m not Israeli or Jewish, so I can’t imagine how everyone in Israel and Jews around the world are feeling right now. I apologise on Europe’s behalf and I pray better times are ahead.
The unfortunate truth is that so many people are fine with this happening. The comments I've seen on facebook posts about the shooting, Praise for hitler, saying this happened because of Israel's actions, and facebook wont even take the comments down. "Thank you for your report, but we didn't remove the content." Disgusting.
People just hate us, and I'll never again trust that we are safe, ever. Every day is a gift, and I'm living my life like it might all be taken away tomorrow. I'm unapologetically Jewish, I refuse to hide. I understand that this will likely result in some horrible event in my life sooner or later.
Thank you for your encouraging words. You have no idea how much of an impact they have. Just hearing someone saying "i'm not Jewish but I support you and Israel's right to exist" at this point is sometimes enough to move me to tears.
100% you’re right.
I’m not kidding when I say replies like this always make me close to cry. It breaks my heart that Jews still have to feel this way, you guys do not deserve it and I promise there are still so many of supporting you. Me and my family are proud zionists and always will be, I’ve even called out protesters in public for the way they speak about Jews and Israel.
It’s completely understandable for you not to feel safe around us anymore, especially as a Christian and I’m the first person to say the way Christians have treated Jews over the centuries has been disgraceful and embarrassing.
I’ve said it, and I’ll say it again, non Jew with a non Jewish family and we will love and support Israel’s right to exist forever. It’s the Jewish ancestral homeland, and nobody has the right to erase that.
Even in the darkest times in history, there were always people like you who stood by us. Thank you, thank you. We notice you, we appreciate and remember your kind words and brave actions, your understanding and your support. What's happened in the past doesn't matter for much more than to inform what could happen in the future. The Christianity of the past is not the Christianity of today.
Judaism teaches us that every single person is worthy of love and kindness; everyone on earth was made in God's image. I don't think its the majority of people that hate us, its not. The reason I don't feel safe is because the majority of people simply don't understand, and won't do a damn thing to stop the few terrible people who are responsible for the most damage.
As far as Israel is concerned I'll be honest, I'm not even religious anymore. I don't think the idea of a "birthright" or whatever is really doing us any favors. Id be fine to share Israel with anyone who feels strongly that their religion ties them to that land. I remember as a kid flying to israel, and sitting next to a lovely woman on the plane for 11 hours. I must have been about 8 or 10 years old. She was so kind, and we played games and talked the whole time. I assumed she was Jewish because she was going to Israel but she told me she wasn't. I learned from my mom that she was a missionary, going to Israel because it's a holy place for Christians too. I thought that was just the coolest thing, I didn't realize at the time that Israel was special to people other than Jews and I remember feeling so proud that someone not Jewish felt so strongly positive about Israel.
This idea that Israel somehow belongs to one group of people and not another is just... utter bullshit. Israel was built by socialists who wanted to build an open and accepting society, and in many ways succeeded in that regard.
The problem Jews face globally is that there's never been a country where we could be ourselves safely and for our own survival we desperately need a country where we can govern ourselves. Even in the US, where we have enjoyed religious freedom our ancestors could only have dreamt of, the culture is not structured to support Jews. As an example, to celebrate our Holidays we have to take time off of work and school. I remember early in my career, I was given 14 days of PTO per year and used 12 of them for Jewish Holidays - before the year started almost all of my PTO was spoken for. But at least I was allowed to take off. The rest of the world has treated their Jews far worse, and the reason we need Israel is because we really have no where else to go. My family fled Iraq (we are Kurdish) to Israel. As far as I know my Grandparents never stepped foot in Europe. My grandmother came to the US once when I was born, my Grandfather never left Israel after fleeing Iraq. They couldn't go back to Iraq obviously. So where are Jews supposed to go if not Israel? The only conclusion I can come to is that if it weren't for Israel, we'd be dead, and people want Israel gone so that we can disappear. Shameful for those who choose to be on that side of history.
Thank you for your words, I’ve actually seen so many religious and non religious Jews say similar things to this. People paint Israel out to be this exclusive country only for Jews when it isn’t the case at all. People should look at videos coming from Israel, you can see Jews, Muslims, atheists, Christian’s, etc all living alongside each other.
I always say, which other country in the Middle East does this happen? None. Not one country other than Israel is that multicultural. No other country can women be protected. Where gays can exist without fear of persecution. Sure Israel isn’t perfect, but no country is. Its right to protect itself is the same right any other country has, yet Israel is the only country criticised for it.
I hope someday in the near future I can come and visit Israel, not as a missionary or anything like that, just as a human who views it as the holiest land in the world.
May Hashem avenge his blood.
Hashem will, he will avenge all those killed at Bondi
Never forgotten. The killers will never be forgiven.
May his memory be a blessing.
It breaks my heart knowing he survived a mass murder AND a genocide just to be killed by a damn terrorist. It truly breaks my heart.
Rest in peace 🕯️
For fuck's SAKE. May his memory be a blessing. May his killers' names be erased.
This should be a stain on Anthony Albanese and Penny Wong that follows them for the rest of their lives.
Along with the rest of the Australian Labor Party.
All leftie governments enable this and now they're trying to weaponize this event to tighten gun control, when it was their shitty intelligence service that allowed the father of a man who's on a terror watch-list to have a bunch of guns in the first place. I would have no sympathy if the victims were regular Australians since their recognition of the terror-state of Palestine, but this time they're really showing on who's side they're on.
Lord have mercy. What a life and a man to the end. Rest in peace.
All countries need to drop the hammer of the law. This is a national security issue.
May him and everyone’s else be blessed memories. I wish those effected by this horrendous event the best of luck.
I always keep this verse in my mind: To God we belong, and to Him we shall return.
I hope the GoFundMe pages exceed the stated goals as soon as possible.
