Hello! My husband and I were referred to Cork Fertility Hub in November and we have our first appointment next week. We are going to the Lee Clinic. All I have received is a letter saying I will be getting an ultrasound. I’m just wondering will I get bloods took on this day aswell? And if my husband will have his sample that day aswell or if he will have a separate appointment?

I had my testing done at the Hub in Cork this year. We met with a fertility nurse for the first appointment. If you have any recent bloods or tests, bring the results with you. They do an ultrasound and have a chat about your experiences so far on the day, and explain the process and different tests. I then had to come back for bloods appointments on certain cycle days (Day 3, Day 21), these are really quick. They organised for my husband to have a semen analysis in Waterstones as well on a separate day but I think they can do them in-house now too.
I meant to say, I also had a HyFoSy in the hub. All of the testing was done within 6-8 weeks once I’d met with them. I had a small delay with getting the HyFoSy done as it was during the summer months when the staff were on leave so they had to push it out by a cycle.
Hi, just had my ultrasound yesterday, will now have to arrange for my bloods to be taken on certain cycle days (23, 3) and if I understood correctly, my next appointment might be in around 10-14 weeks
Hey, I was there Monday and the same as yourself have to get bloods done on certain cycle days! I didn’t even ask the time frame for next appointment but I assume it will be a few months like you said. Hope you got on ok
Yeah I suppose it depends on how soon you get the reports and other documents they need
I got my bloods same day as ultrasound (Coombe). They made a separate booking for my husband at a fertility clinic for the SA.
