Hii. Went off Cerazette mid november, went on it again for a few days in early december, had sex, went off it again a few days later - havent had a period since coming off it properly. The first few months on it (i think 6 months overall) I was bleeding all the time despite taking it consistently. I was down with the flu over christmas and it only occured to me I havent had a period since coming off it. I know its only been a month since early december but I've got it in my head that something's wrong. I also had my exams early december and i know that stress also plays a big part in your cycle health. My issue is that my breasts have been sore the last week or so, really tender. Thats my only symptom i guess of either PMS / pregnancy, other than me spiraling. I took a test yesterday that turned out to be invalid (nothing showed in the control window) but i'm making this post just to see if anyone who's stopped cerazette has experienced pms symptoms without getting their period, and when did it return? It's about 7 weeks since i stopped properly. Thanks!
Came off cerazette in January and took a almost full month before my period returned, I think exactly 28 days. Can't comment on what going off it then back on and then off again might have done but I know you're supposed to start it on the first day of your period so I would definitely take a pregnancy test just to be safe.
Whattt!! I was never told to start on day 1 of my period by my doctor, thats crazy! Thank you x
Cerazette is a progesterone only pill (pop or mini pill) that means that it doesn’t have the Oestrogen to thicken the uterine lining like the regular pill, progesterone can cause the uterus to not make a thick lining as usual. Your period should return as normal when your hormones come back to normal and self regulate

It can be normal for your periods to return slowly after cerazette (was on it in my 20s and currently taking it) the fact you are sexually active tho I would take another test it’s unlikely you’ll get another dodgy one. As you mentioned stress and illness absolutely can delay your period. Do you have anything underlying issues like pcos? That too can explain it as pcos causes irregular periods (I went 11months without a period and without contraception) in the mean time you could try booking a gp appointment cause they take so long to come around and cancel it then if your period shows up
Actually i do have hypothyroidism which i wasn't consistent w medication over december either (adhd + exams + getting sick = hyperfocus / so much stress) so it did occur to me this might play a part.. i booked in w gp for tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed everything is well :) x
When I went off cerazette it took about 3 months for my period to come back, but I went on to be diagnosed with PCOS. I’d anecdotally heard that after cerazette it can take a while to get your cycle back so I assumed it was normal until I had periods every 3 months for 3 periods.
I'm looking into PCOS but i do have hypothyroidism!! That might be the cause!!!
Y'all i am straight up pregnant
