Hello, I applied for FBR Oct last year. My (non Irish) passport expired August and hopefully I should get the FBR by July. However, I just had a trip where the check-in desk informed me that I'd need to renew my passport in March as that's 10 years since I got it. If I renew my passport will that effect my application? Will I need to resend all the information? Has anyone else been in a similar situation?
Edit for clarification.

You had me confused for a while there. Reading over your message a few times, the passport you are referring to is for a foreign country? It’s not an Irish passport?
Edited to clarify. It's a non Irish pay to apply for FBR
If I'm reading correctly then I think you'll be fine.
I'm assuming that you have a non-Irish passport (UK?) which was in date and valid when it copied and notarised. Then that certified copy was sent along with your other supporting documentation.
If you later get a new UK(?) passport then I don't think that affects anything as I don't believe they do a "live" check to see if the passport is still valid. It's used as an ID check, not an actual travel document.
Ok great, thank you.
