I think Russia is just fine with Steve Jackoff doing the “negotiating.” They never wanted to negotiate in good faith. Putin wants all of Ukraine, and he’s trying to get it via political destabilization. Meanwhile he wants to sow the seeds of chaos within NATO, and Jackoff is the perfect vehicle for his machinations.
Come on, this is Trump we are talking about. He could not take over Canada or Greenland, so he is settling for Venezuela and, after Venezuela, Honduras. Colombia is also a target (based on his statements). He wants to be the "conquering hero". The problem is that a few bombs here and there are not going to shake the Maduro regime. He would need a fully fledged invasion force.
Why would they fight just to survive? What purpose do you want to live?
