President-elect Donald Trump has called for direct action against the reported— and repeated — drone sightings over New Jersey and several other Northeast states.

But, one of his most ardent supporters thinks he already knows what has the night skies lit up over the past several weeks.

Here’s what to know about Project Blue Beam and what Charlie Kirk and others are saying about the decades-old conspiracy theory’s ties to the most popular topic in the U.S. recently.

What Is Project Blue Beam?

First introduced in the 1990s by Canadian journalist Serge Monast, Project Blue Beam claims global elites will destabilize society by staging and unleashing massive supernatural events — alien invasions, holographic displays of cultural and religious figures, mind-control and faked crises — and capitalize on the hysteria to implement a new world order.

Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA and one of Donald Trump’s staunchest allies, has linked the recent drone sightings to Project Blue Beam

In a social media post, Kirk declared, “These drones aren’t just drones—they’re laying the groundwork for something much bigger. Project Blue Beam is real, and we’re seeing it unfold.”

Trump, for his part, has leaned toward a more practical approach, calling for immediate action, suggesting that any unidentified drones should be shot down if their operators cannot be identified.

“We don’t know who’s behind this, but we’re not going to sit around and do nothing,” Trump said recently.

What are the drones over New Jersey?

The mysterious drones have been described as large, fast-moving, and operating in formations — behavior inconsistent with typical recreational or commercial use.

Federal agencies, including the FAA and Department of Homeland Security, are investigating, but no official explanations have been offered.

Speculation ranges from foreign surveillance operations to secretive military exercises to mistaken identity.
