• My brother did this with 100 ducks between two houses. But in reality they only hid 99, so my mom is still looking for the missing one to this day 🀣

    The perfect innocent prank!

  • Awww! These same duckies started infesting one of my workplaces a few years ago and we never did find the culprit πŸ˜€.

How fun! I love this idea, I think I'll try something similar at my daughter's house! πŸ˜„

One of the stores here in Australia sells ducks, dinosaurs, unicorns, and axolotls in this small, resin kind of style. I actually used them to partially fill baubles to sell at our church Christmas fete. But ducks do seem to be the most popular. They've even released some little yellow ducks with Santa hats in the craft section. Tempting to get some before Christmas and start 'decorating' the house with them where my mother will find them...

Ooh, I'd love to get my hands on some axolotls!! They are so unique and granddaughter is obsessed with them! Do you think they'd ship to the US?

If your mother gets a kick out of funny pranks/games like that then you should hide some for her. There's something sweet and simple about going "duck hunting" in your home. Reminds me of Easter egg hunting, ya know?

Best of luck with your sneaky shenanigans 😁!

Thanks! I love things like this, great idea!

Years ago we followed a similar trend where we exchanged clothespins for the other to find. On the flat thumb portion of the pin we wrote a short phrase: "I love you" or "My Sunshine" or just a couple of hearts drawn in Sharpie. The we clipped the pins randomly through the house for each other to find and then place for the next person. It's like a very slow game of loveable tag! πŸ₯°

This reminds me of when all my coworkers and I briefly used my dog (who was one of our shop dogs) to send messages around the workroom via the highly refined medium of β€œfile folder labels stuck onto his forehead” 😁! That poor dog got zero respect, I tell you…

    πŸ˜‚πŸ’™ That's hilarious!

  • Why so many? Haha

  • Holy crap. My brother and our kids did this same thing at our parents house 3 weeks ago. 7 ducks are still unfound. I told Mom I'd be surprised if they found them all by new years.

  • My sister and I (in our 40s) do similar things to our mum and one of our aunts every year.

  • Did this to my office for April fools day. My boss loved it so much whenever he found one he would collect all the lil ducks on his desk.

  • My students did this with little tiny babies on year πŸ˜‚

  • This is one of my absolute favourite pranks πŸ’œ!!!
