One is tommorow. The second is in the weekend.

So, that's pretty cool. I am a bit anxious, but also feel...like, instead of worrying if she'll like me, I am(trying to be) more focused on how would I feel around her, if she fits me. If there's a connection.

And yet I still have some nerves lol. Anyone have tips how to relax, and what to look for? What's my mindset should be in the date?

  • MIndset - you're getting to know someone to see if you connect. You don't owe each other anything, but you're there to have a good time and get to know each other better. It's about FUN, not just information exchange.

Be authentic, tell a joke, enjoy yourself. Don't be afraid to tease, flirt, offer your arm like a gentleman, usher her through the door with a light touch on her back, if you feel like she's comfortable with that. You'll be able to tell early on if there are good vibes.

Relaxing? Reframe your nervousness as excitement, you've been looking forward to hiking this trail/visiting this coffee shop or bar or restaurant/checking out this part of town/some good company.

I think your attitude going in is great! Have a good time, manage your expectations, be authentic, be genuine. Good luck!

  • A little nervousness is absolutely fine at the beginning. If anything, it’s complimentary.

To chill the nerves at least somewhat, set a relaxing scene for yourself beforehand. Take a nice hot shower, put on your favorite music or a funny show, have a (small!) drink if that’s your thing.

Keep it light and fun. Worst case scenario: turns out you’re not right for each other, but maybe you had a good meal or were recommended a cool new book or had a chance to wear those new shoes. Don’t worry about everything you or she does being perfect—you’re only just getting to know each other.

  • First of all, congratulations! Honestly, just give your best and don’t expect anything in return. Do it because you want to build a genuine connection. It might take time, it might not but at least you’re giving it a good shot! I have known beautiful, well adjusted women and men who were rejected when dating. So whenever I get rejected I remember that, that its normal and I shouldn’t let my insecurities take over. Good luck!
