• Prince, dynast, satrap, strategos, our predecessors bore many titles, yet never that of king. Through the rise and fall of empires, the House of Mithridates endured, weathering countless storms, adapting to every shifting tide of power, and seizing each moment of uncertainty to emerge stronger than before. Ours is not a line forged in a single conquest, but one tempered by centuries of survival, patience, and calculated ambition.

Our lineage reaches back to the age of the Achaemenid Empire, to the days when Gobryas and his descendants stood among the foremost noble houses of Persia. In reward for loyalty and service, the Great King Darius I granted them Mariandynia, a land entrusted not merely to rule, but to secure on behalf of the empire. From that foundation, our ancestors expanded their dominion, and under Ariobarzanes their authority came to encompass Mysia as well, binding coast and hinterland into a single sphere of power.

For generations, our forebears served as satraps and strategoi, guardians of imperial frontiers, commanders of armies, and stewards of royal authority. Kings placed their trust in us, yet we learned early that trust was as fleeting as favor. Thus, even in service, we remained vigilant, balancing loyalty with self-preservation, ever mindful that survival in an imperial world belonged to those who relied first upon their own strength.

Now, the age of service draws to its end. The long chapter of bending the knee to distant thrones and shedding blood for the ambitions of others shall be closed. No longer will our house stand as instruments of foreign kings, nor as wardens of realms that are not our own. The legacy we have guarded for centuries shall at last claim its final form. We will no longer rule in another’s name. We shall reign as kings in our own right.
