We had a car parked behind my old job for a couple of weeks with one of the windows busted out. Some employees parked there on occasion and it was the side of the building that had the least traffic and I usually went out there only to check the ammonia room.
Anyways I said something about the car one day, I noticed it had not moved and I thought nobody was coming back for it. Me and the supervisor decided to call a tow.
When the tow truck arrived we realized the opposite side of the car facing away from the building had bullet holes in the front and rear driver-side doors and blood in the driver seat and down the inside of the door.
For me it's probably 1, if you hijack someone's vehicle you don't want any blood or evidence there. And murder someone straight up over a car seems too much for a regular carjacking, this takes personal or gun for hired from my POV.
Dude definitely got shot. There's a hole, or at least a grazing wound, in his neck that wasn't there before. Either way, the attempted murderer is a really bad shot
Looks like it might be muzzle burn (hot gasses from the end of the barrel), if even if the barrel wasn't touching him. I say this because it doesn't appear to continue bleeding or spreading in size. If it even grazed him the bottom of the wound would be dark with blood.
Considering the lack of significant blood that seems quite possible. It’s kinda crazy how much a gunshot bleeds irl but also the muzzle burn can actually damn near seal it shut.
I'd counter and say you'd be surprised how little a bullet wound can bleed too! There's a reason people can get dressed down in combat/ post shootings to look for bullet wounds that aren't bleeding (externally)

Weapons trainer here: the statistical average we were taught for years was a 25% hit rate for regular law enforcement. That's not 25% critical hits, or fight stopping hits. 25% of the time, cops hit somewhere on the guy they're trying to shoot – left pinkie, big toe, anywhere with meat.
The other three rounds are addressed To Whom It May Concern, which often includes their fellow officers.
The dirty secret behind the NYPD's reluctance to switch from their tried and true MP5s to a 5.56 platform in the 2000s was they weren't yet wearing rifle plates. And they accidentally shot each other frequently enough that they didn't want their ammunition to be zipping through their own body armor.
It's gotten a little better over the past 5-10 years, but a good rule of thumb is 1 in 4 rounds fired by a gun attached to a cop will hit anywhere on the person they're targeting.
