Well yea, just about everything in life does require time and resources.
Just look up "video metadata". So the same way that shoplifters are caught when they up load a video to social media when stealing hundreds of bucks of damages, wont be applied for someone who caused thousands of dollars damages?
Maybe, depending on the program. Some will replace the GPS data of creation with the location of editing, that will not help you much to hide from the cops, indeed just brought them right to your door. If you want you can procure metadata removal programs.
Also it would do nothing to prevent whatever service you're uploading your stuff to from embedding your account info into the video.
Ignorance is every humans natural state. I sure as heck respect people and think more highly of folks who admit that they don't know something and are willing to learn a hell of a lot more than the jokers that try to bs their way through life.
The bad safety practices of hunters is why many places limit hunting to shotguns or straight wall cases, which will at least help limit the range of shots fired by hunters who are not taking any consideration about why lies behind the animals they are shooting at.
Though the larger, slower bullets are more likely to ricochet, so not really safer. At least with a high speed hollow point, the bullet will probably disintegrate upon impacting the ground
Ah, well let me be the first to say hi, and interduce to the incredibly scarry world of ark flashes with both overpressure and temperature far exciding what chemical deflagrations can produce. There have been cases of guys getting hit by an ark flash and all that's left of them are a part of a smoldering boot. Just give "ark flash" a google.
It's a freaking iconic scene man! The eighties were the goat decade for movies though: Indiana Jones,The Terminator,Predator, The Empire Strikes Back, blade runner,Scarface,Ghostbusters,Beverly Hills Cop,Back to the Future,Big Trouble in Little China,The Thing,They live, escape from new york, Crocodile Dundee,Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, The Princess Bride, Die Hard,Aliens,Return of The Jedi,Top gun, top secret,The money pit, Raging bull, Platoon, Ran, blue velvet, Full metal jacket, Brazil, Airplane,Das boot, the untouchables, A Christmas story, Spinal tap,The right stuff,Glory, the killing fields,Nightmare on elm street, A fish called Wanda, Arthur, cadyshack, Road warrior, and so many more. Why the heck are we not getting movies like this anymore?!
Yea, that's a good part of it for sure. It also seems like every movie is some how the same, like the characters and story are created by metadata and an algorithm to appeal to the largest broadest group of people. Not sure if this is an effect of not wanting to offend, or them trying to market the movie to the absolute largest group of people possible. Whatever the cause I hate the effect it has had. I stopped going to the movies when every movie gave me déjà vu, and I could correctly guess what would happen, and the outcome 5-10 min into the movie.
Yea, the tec of movies has always been interesting, a real peek behind the screen if you will.😉 Practical effects are not without their charm too, and sometimes just look better. Like the car chase Bullitt 68 and the barnstorming in the TV show Airwolf. Are just as entertaining today; and have that feeling of wonder, and amazement, that wow a guy/person really did all that, that happened in real life.
From their perspective it's probably quite lovectaftian.
The strange hunters on two legs hunt with contraptions that can kill instantly and without being seen. They struck while the deer were feeding near the strange structures made in an unnatural mockery of the world. And for some reason this time it was different. The attack caused a flash of heat and flame in the dead of winter, and a sound louder than the loudest thundering storm.
Trees do explode though. My mom had a very large eucalyptus tree in our yard that was struck by lightning, and eucalyptus doesn't do what trees normally do in a lightning strike. They absolutely explode into small pieces. The entire yard was covered in spontaneous eucalyptus mulch and I am not gonna lie, as an 11 year old I could not stop laughing about it. It smelled incredible too.
Ask J.B. Pritzker and other democrats about why licensing / mandatory training is a non starter. Every time either licenses or training is required it's a) expensive, b) low quality and c) delays your constitutional rights by weeks to months for no reason. Same with any regulation. Never is it about effective storage, accountability or fast recovery of stolen guns from criminals waving them around on TikTok and YT short, it's about banning guns of certain shapes, or banning you from having certain styles of grips or my favorite: In IL a pistol is an "assault weapon" if the magazine slots into anything other than the grip, so fuck olympic sports shooters with their tiny target guns.
A lot of licensing has roots in racism as well. Denying or delaying minorities from accessing guns and being able to tack on charges at will. E.g. Illinois' FOID.
I am all in favor of training people not to hurt themselves and others. Even requiring it. But we have spent 50 years implementing racist and blatantly chilling legislation that only serves to make you not want to waste the time to become a legal gun owner.
Study after study shows that bringing a gun into your home dramatically raises the chance of you or a family member being shot -- why shouldn't gun owners pay into an insurance pool and go through basic gun safety classes if they absolutely must have a means to maim and kill on demand?
Cars kill people, even though they serve another purpose instead of just killing people (unlike guns), and we have to get licensed and pay insurance for the privilege. Doctors hold our lives in their hands and they require tons of training and insurance.
The short answer to the why is that gun ownership is a constitutional right. Driving cars is not. Neither is being a doctor or even having a job, for that matter.
Gun ownership is a constitutional right the same as voting.
A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Up until the Heller decision it was understood that everything before the comma meant that it was not a personal right. It's only been since the Roberts court took over and started dismantling our republic that we started getting rulings like this.
Guns should obviously be regulated, but that's hindered by the 2nd amendment. The original reason for that amendment is no longer relevant, so why not update it?
why shouldn't gun owners pay into an insurance pool and go through basic gun safety classes if they absolutely must have a means to maim and kill on demand?
Because the Bourgeoisie is already more than powerful enough. Bureaucracy is one of their tools of control.
We live in a time where corporations force their workers into pissing into bottles, unions are weakened, surveillance is ever present and people have to fear arbitrary law enforcement.
And now they should give up their arms? Might as well reintroduce serfdom.
Canadian here. I have my restricted and non restricted PAL. I’m all for gun ownership if checks and balances are followed. Strict background checks. Harsh penalties. That in itself can be annoying. Criminals don’t have legal firearms. Yet. Law abiding gun owners could have longer jail sentences.
Even the license for an Air Rifle in my home country boldly states to make sure you know what’s beyond the target as they are usually used to hunt Iguanas or even Chickens so it can be in an area with houses, cars or even people.
This might sound crazy, but in the US every state requires that you “know your target and what’s beyond it” before you take the shot as part of earning your hunting license, and this is repeatedly stated, drilled, and tested to prove you know it as a condition to passing the class.
Oh i know, i hunt in the US also. I was trying to make the point that even my very very strict country and with a much less lethal firearm like an Air Rifle this training is also drilled in our heads. Which makes this person even dummer.
This is all covered in LEGALLY REQUIRED hunting courses of all states as well. Same as how drunk driving being illegal is covered during the written test in EVERY state. You might be able to put 2 and 2 together here.
so what the hell exploded? I wouldn't think a power line would just do that if you slapped the pole, even a high tension line. Did he hit the trail cam and pop the lithium batteries or something?
I think this is a HV termination where the HV lines go down the mast to underground (hence the sheet metal cover for protection). A HV power line will absolutely do that if punctured.
You did see the antlers, right? Very rarely will female deer have antlers, and those that do have hormonal imbalances. It's very unlikely that was its mother.

“Know your target and what is beyond it”
Oh, I know what's coming after that shot, a big F-ing bill from the power company!
They'd never know who did it.
Yeah good thing he didn’t film it and then put it out into the world
Yeah but it takes time and resources to even find a person you're filming, let alone the filmer.
Well yea, just about everything in life does require time and resources.
Just look up "video metadata". So the same way that shoplifters are caught when they up load a video to social media when stealing hundreds of bucks of damages, wont be applied for someone who caused thousands of dollars damages?
I'm not tech. savvy I've never heard of video metadata till just now 🤷🏽
It's all good bro, I bet most people don't know about that behind scene stuff going on in computers. Glad I could tell you about something new.
Usually editing the video with no actual changes to it clears the meta data, I have been told
Maybe, depending on the program. Some will replace the GPS data of creation with the location of editing, that will not help you much to hide from the cops, indeed just brought them right to your door. If you want you can procure metadata removal programs.

You getting downvoted for admitting you don’t know something is ridiculous lmfao
I’d imagine it’s for spouting off without knowledge, but idk. They’re positive now
Ignorance is every humans natural state. I sure as heck respect people and think more highly of folks who admit that they don't know something and are willing to learn a hell of a lot more than the jokers that try to bs their way through life.
Edit: case in point.
Maybe "keep them away from children" is higher priority rule
You have to be extra special to not think about the chance of hitting a power line with a shot like that
Indeed. Looks like you go back to the cabin and get to sleep in the dark tonight, son.
Isn't that how most people sleep anyways?
Hey. Stop it with your logic. The kid is sleeping in the dark now. Okay!
No nightlight for you tonight, Dylan!
Or let your child take the shot.
Dylan isn’t bright.
You have to be extra special to not think about the chance of your child hitting a power line with a shot like that
yeah but look how much that buck doesn't have meat on it
Thanks for the explanation. My first thought was that someone was hunting with tannerite, which is a rather vile idea.
I was thinking incendiary rounds, so you're not the only one not getting it. I didn't think electricity would explode with flames like that. 😮
Ah, well let me be the first to say hi, and interduce to the incredibly scarry world of ark flashes with both overpressure and temperature far exciding what chemical deflagrations can produce. Arc.
Ah yeah, my bad. Ark flash is this
Lmao, god damn I love that scene.

We're too afraid to offend. I do enjoy the tech that goes into our movies now, but you're right about how many awesome ones we had back then!
Yea, that's a good part of it for sure. It also seems like every movie is some how the same, like the characters and story are created by metadata and an algorithm to appeal to the largest broadest group of people. I thought of tannerite behind on the pole. Powerline makes so much more sense.
Dick Cheney not only shot his friend in the face he got his friend to apologize for being shot by Dick Cheney. So you can at least be VP.
He sure didn’t hit the deer.
It's a kid. How special do you expect them to be?
Target fixation at its worst.
I just wanna see that game camera footage
Fried the hell out of that buck and gave the doe ptsd
From their perspective it's probably quite lovectaftian.
Dude you didn't use the phrase noneuclidian geometry even once.
Nah it ran away in the smoke. It wasn't harmed.
Ninja, Vanish!
Stag had an Active Protection System.
A trophy system if you will
Trophy stag!
Took off like Sonic the hedgehog
The buck took off running to the left. That was an electrical explosion. A leaf turned into steam instantly. Maybe a couple leaves.
Will that little deer go on the rest of its life thinking “sometimes trees explode”?
Sometimes trees do explode, though.
That's tannerite....
Seems too convenient to be filming the tree that explodes in frame and centered to be anything else. Wild that tannerite is sold so freely there
He wasn’t shooting that deer, he was painting it for an orbital strike
Time to run
Ya the power company is going to have some interesting questions for the guy who shot their power lines and knocked out power for the entire town
"Oh shit I hit a propane tank! Oh.... that lady is pissed! Wait... that's my wife, what's she.... OH SHIT, THAT WAS MY PROPANE TANK!"
"Be aware of your target and what is behind it"
That's one of those things that should have you not owning firearms.
It's almost like gun ownership comes with a lot of responsibility.
It's weird how we're all in agreement of that and yet any talk of licensing or mandatory training for gun ownership becomes such a mess to talk about.
Ask J.B. Pritzker and other democrats about why licensing / mandatory training is a non starter. Every time either licenses or training is required it's a) expensive, b) low quality and c) delays your constitutional rights by weeks to months for no reason. Same with any regulation. Gun ownership is a constitutional right the same as voting.
That’s the facts. Not opinion.
It’s so funny how they forgot about that!!
Up until the Heller decision it was understood that everything before the comma meant that it was not a personal right. It's only been since the Roberts court took over and started dismantling our republic that we started getting rulings like this.
Hmm. Seems a bit outdated, you should amend that part of the constitution.
Is free speech also outdated? Or banning slavery?
Neoliberalism has already heavily struck workers rights. Under no circumstances should the proletariat be disarmed.
Gun laws have always been a tool of oppression by the Bourgeoisie.
Guns should obviously be regulated, but that's hindered by the 2nd amendment. The original reason for that amendment is no longer relevant, so why not update it?
Class struggle is still relevant.
Billionaires become richer each year while they take our humanity.
Because the Bourgeoisie is already more than powerful enough. Bureaucracy is one of their tools of control.
We live in a time where corporations force their workers into pissing into bottles, unions are weakened, surveillance is ever present and people have to fear arbitrary law enforcement.

I guess you're right. We regular Joes have been under the thumbs of the wealthy ruling class since forever, with it only getting worse by the day.
Thank god we have guns in the hands of amateurs (exhibit A) to keep the elite from exploiting us!
So you are willing to submit yourself to the ruling class because idiots exist?
Also "amateurs". So only LEOs that kidnapped people, misuse their power and kick down on minorities should own firearms? What an awful idea.
Collin’s Door.

It USED to be required back 20 year's ago. Now days it's YouTube likes that pass the test. (Unfortunately)
You don't earn a hunting license. You buy them.
and you earn the ability to buy one with a hunter's safety course
Not in my state.
This is all covered in LEGALLY REQUIRED hunting courses of all states as well. Same as how drunk driving being illegal is covered during the written test in EVERY state. You might be able to put 2 and 2 together here.
Yup this person gives a bad name to the rest of us.
Taught in basic gun safety when hunting you always think about what is behind what you are shooting so dumb shit like this doesnt happen
That’s why we can’t hunt anywhere freaking idiot
Got em.
Was the deer OK?
Why is Collin's door obstructed?
So is the deer cooked?
The fact that they blew up the power line and you still heard a second shot. Buddy really wanted that deer dead
I think it was another electrical sound.
That would make sense
Definitely not a shot lmao Unless they have Star Wars blasters
I can’t tell if he was shooting like a storm trooper & missed or if the bullet went through & vaporized the deer?
You can definitely see the big deer go off running to the left at the end. Maybe it did get hit but it wasn't vaporized lol
I watched 3x and could not tell. lol. So this is a storm trooper ;)
I wasn't sure what was going on. The first watch, I thought he strapped a small amount of tannerite to the tree.
Wut
I told you not to mix anfo in with the corn!
Hey film this!! Ok I'll give you a beer! Done!!!
It was at that moment, he knew he was cooked!
I unironically thought they shot an RPG or something until I realized it was the powerline, lmao
Just hear me out, RPG deer hunting. For sporting purposes of course.
Dad in video is a Grade A retard
He had the flame enchantment
😂🤣🤣😂😂😂Ohshit 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice shot bro
I think the shot actually got the buck but the round struck the power line. The second report you hear is likely the explosion.
Why can so many hunters not just accept that there isn't a good shot and they'd best just let it go? Jfc 😣
Hope they sue this kid for all his parents are worth and more.
so what the hell exploded? I wouldn't think a power line would just do that if you slapped the pole, even a high tension line. Did he hit the trail cam and pop the lithium batteries or something?
I think this is a HV termination where the HV lines go down the mast to underground (hence the sheet metal cover for protection). A HV power line will absolutely do that if punctured.
I think he hit the trail cam. Frame by frame shows a stream of sparks from underneath of that trail cam.
You can't use an RPG for hunting anyway
Well that didn`t go well indeed my little man.
🤦🏽♂️
Great camera work, asshole
What's this, I did not know Michael Bay was a hunter.
Yah
Kid is dumb if he thinks that didn’t go well. That went perfectly
I know this won’t go down well on here but I dunno how anyone could shoot the mom in front of her young 😔. I’m just glad he’s a crap shot.
You did see the antlers, right? Very rarely will female deer have antlers, and those that do have hormonal imbalances. It's very unlikely that was its mother.
No I never noticed the antlers, apologies I stand corrected. I couldn’t shoot a deer full stop 😂 but defo not one in front of its young.
Why would you kill a deer when its with his baby? Where I come from this isnt wven allowed...
Thats a buck (male) they dont take care of the babies. The doe (female) is probably out of frame
Guy sounds like he is less than 12, why is he out shooting deer?
