No really, the creators of TMNT created it as a parody/unofficial sequel to Daredevil. After the radioactive waste hits Matt Murdoch, it rolls into the sewer and affects the turtles
Y’all (including) OP are missing one very important thing, those are 55 gallon “DRUMS” not barrels!!! Barrels hold only 48 gallons!!!! The common ordinary person usually makes that mistake!!!
Don't know what that other person did, but I counted barrels. There are some you can't really see, so there is admittedly some guesswork. But it looks like there are about 120 barrels in that photo. Based on the lightweight trailers involved, I'm also guessing they're empty. Steel barrels weigh between 38 and 48 lbs depending on the thickness of the steel and whether or not they're lined. Split the difference for 43 lbs per barrel, multiply by 120 barrels and you get 5160 lbs.
as i recall we would weight them to 600 lbs on a scale then use 650 as the shipping weight , its been a few years since i worked commercial ,now i just hobby bee keep , we did around 120-200 barrels per year ( i made one my boss made the rest lol )
They’re obviously empty as the truck is not sagging at all. Still a terrible idea to go at speed in wind. I would be going 25 down a backroad, not the fucking interstate.
It appears to be a totally legal setup here in Indiana, as long as he is under the overall length requirement.
Depending on his combined GVWR of the truck and trailers and the intended use of the barrels on the trailers, he could be pushing commercial use rules here; but it looks like everything is light enough that he wouldn't be near it to me.
I'm not sure how I feel about his strap job, but the trailers look in better shape than most I see here, and drums are light when they are empty.
Actually, this is how they transport radioactive waste. They paint the barrels green so they look all eco-yummy so people don't freak out when they break down on a crossing and get rammed by a train. Then if when they get to the storage site they repaint them with all those hazard signs and make them look all important and scary again.
Some ninja turtles are about to be born.
My first thought also
LMAO I just started laughing out loud in the restaurant
First they have to hit Matt Murdoch in the eyes.

"it's people!!"
Whatever. Have you seen eat prices?
It's fine, they're not red barrels. These have health packs in them.
I mean it looks funny, but the truck doesn't appear to have any issues pulling this.
The tailgate on that first trailer is a little sketchy.
I need to know wind speed.
So what?
I see them too! Barrels! Green and big!

Thank you for the correction!
Let me tell you about my dumb ass.
I counted the barrels and figured up they weight around 5000 pounds, not noticing that second trailer.
How can you possibly "figure out" how much they weight when you have absolutely no clue what's in them? They could be empty for all you know.

The way that truck is sitting they have to be empty. Full of oil they'd weight 500lbs each
full of honey they would be 650 Lbs each
😲
Gallon of honey weighs 12 lbs... 660 lbs + 43 lb drum = 703 lbs.

You seem fun
The are correct, though

Hope they don’t contain some flammable liquids.
Everytime I need barrels I can never find any on marketplace
They were black standard barrels until they were filled with
These were found in the basement of a medical supply company.
I thought this was r/Roadcraft for a moment and was impressed.
Life imitating art here.
Is thst even legal??
28 states in the USA allow double trailers.
In some of the state I-64 passes through, double towing is legal, but I think the first trailer has to be a fifth wheel.
This is almost certainly in Indiana, and as long as it's under 65 feet this setup appears to be legal-ish.
