Yeah people seem to be misunderstanding me, I'm not reprimanding anyone or making any ethical judgements because I know many people still don't know that. Very telling people are downvoting me for politely informing someone that they used a slur
Thing is the word seems to still be somewhat acceptable in the western hemisphere. There was that reality tv series “my g***y wedding” or something like that. It’s also still used in documentaries revolving around world war 2 and the holocaust. Somehow i apparently got the vibe it is a slur. So I avoid it. It helps to learn a little about their history and culture.
Sometimes. If it is used as a distraction from the point, yes, it is a fallacy. If it is appealing for consistency of judgement against cherry picking facts, then it is not.
I mean yeah, but in this case it is the former. The fact that other ethnic groups might have slurs in their languages doesn't justify using slurs for them. Bringing that up is an illogical deflection from what I said.
I don't know what you could have possibly googled to get that result. If you actually care to educate yourself here's a link that will help you immensely.
….Hey! No worries I’m sure they have great insurance that will pay for all the damages…don’t you agree?….Damn! A Rolling Menace to society right there!
I'm kindly letting someone know a word they're using is a racial slur, I'm not policing anybodys language.
And yes "gypsy" is widely considered a racial slur, it has been reclaimed by some groups but that in no way makes it not a slur in most contexts. Just because there's more than one slur doesn't mean they all arent slurs.
Everything is a slur or offensive to someone else. Some people prefer to be called gypsies. Some people preferred to be called black, others think it's a racist term. Same goes with Mexican, African American, Asian, etc. Any word, even if not a slur, can be used as one. Even the n word is only a slur if used by specific people.
Yes, language changes over time, but the word 'gypsy' is still almost universally considered a slur by Romani people, and even the people who have reclaimed it mostly still consider it a slur outside of referring to themselves. If you care about other people and don't want to hurt others I don't see the problem with trying to avoid words that are harmful.
As someone who’s been the vehicle in tow countless times taking my old man’s junkers to the shop: The guy in the lead vehicle signals the guy in the Explorer when to engage the brakes, he lets off the gas, and lets the Explorer bring them both to a stop. It takes some time and distance unloaded… I’d hate to see the process it takes to stop this train😅
I've been the driver of the towed vehicle before. It's kind of terrifying, but doable. I always was the guy in charge of the braking anyway, mainly because I was terrified of smacking into the towing vehicle.
Certainly not on highways or highly traveled roads! Whenever we did it, it was about 10 miles of complete backroads until the last 1.5 miles, and even that was still just a county line road lol.
We had to do something similar and about halfway through our trip a cop came up behind us and put on his lights. We signaled with our hands to pull over and he waved us off. Just gave us an escort to the house and then drove off with a wave.
I remember "driving" the towed vehicle down several miles of I-55 and about ten miles of Highway 61 . . . I was also worried about getting a ticket. But we didn't see any law enforcement.
There must be a big auction down on I44 between St Louis and Springfield Missouri because every time I drive through there I see many towed vehicle train's that make no sense. PT cruiser's pulling 3 car's all will hazard's flashing. It's pretty wild but they seem to keep to the right lane and go kinda slow.
It can't be but they do it all the time. It's rural but on the interstate so IDK? I've thought about asking the Missouri subreddit before but forget to.
Expedition, but yes. There is a driver there. However, can't wait for the brake booster to give out and the Buick and Expedition start playing bumper floss with that tow strap.
It looks like there is someone in the first car being towed on the soft strap, presumably their job is to hit the brakes at the right time to avoid smashing the front car
I see those Buicks with 500-600k miles. I’ve even seen a white Century get rear ended by a suv at 55mph, and the Buick was unaffected whilst the Expedition ran into a house.
Nah, I'll level with you completely honestly here.
It's less of a thing now, but back in WoW circa 2005-2016ish, it was VERY very in vogue to do the Anal thing with names of Quests or Items, so frequently you'd be in a Trade channel and someone will post things like
Anal [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Wind Seeker] (a weapon)
Anal [Deep Ocean, Vast Sea] (a quest)
Anal [For the Children] (the name of the Kids Week holiday achievement)
Anal [Backstab] (a combat ability)
You get the point. So don't get me wrong, I'm not immune to the joke. I'm just desensitized to WAY better versions of this lol
Like die in a traffic accident? The lead car is on by a strap with a heavy load behind them. There liable to get rammed by the van, potentially launched into traffic and hurt others. It's reckless, definitely a ticket.
I’ve seen way sketchier shit done with a clapped out 3.8 Buick. In fact, one friend had one and ran into a moving train with it, and still drove it home after.
Most cursed train I have ever seen.
Down to one fucking strap. Connected to what?
[removed]
Do ya like dags?
Hi uh I'm sure you probably didn't know but just kindly letting you know that that is a racial slur
For a long time I didn’t know it was a slur.
Yeah people seem to be misunderstanding me, I'm not reprimanding anyone or making any ethical judgements because I know many people still don't know that. Very telling people are downvoting me for politely informing someone that they used a slur

As opposed to the many names they have in their own language for slurring us.
I may use slurs but they used them first! /s
Doesn’t make it any better. What are you, 5-years old?
What aboutism is a logical fallacy
I agree, I was just commenting on the universality of your comment
Fair enough, you're right
Well a quick google search will tell you “pikey” is the derogatory word for gypsy or Roma people. So don’t worry hall monitor.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pikey
I've seen "Snatch". Pikey is used throughout the entire movie.
Roma or Romani people will tell you Gypsy is a slur. Like most people they would prefer to be called by their ethnicity
I don't know what you could have possibly googled to get that result. If you actually care to educate yourself here's a link that will help you immensely.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Romani_sentiment
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pikey
Read the first sentence.
Either way, if a person is towing something like this and causes me to crash, I’m not going to be in a semantic mood.
….Hey! No worries I’m sure they have great insurance that will pay for all the damages…don’t you agree?….Damn! A Rolling Menace to society right there!
So to be clear I wasn't saying your statement about pikey was wrong, just that Gypsy is considered offensive. You understand that, right?
I'm kindly letting someone know a word they're using is a racial slur, I'm not policing anybodys language.
And yes "gypsy" is widely considered a racial slur, it has been reclaimed by some groups but that in no way makes it not a slur in most contexts. Just because there's more than one slur doesn't mean they all arent slurs.
Wait! There are racial slurs being used on Reddit? I am shocked.
Wait! Strippers across the country are naming themselves racial slurs?
Only the ones with big hooters…
You're allowed to have more than a single slur for a group.

That 3.8 v6 is a beast. This set up is terrifying.
3.8s never die. The chassis around them just eventually disintegrates.
I'm going to drive this regal into dust.
Grand Prix failed around it. Best factory sounding exhaust I’ve had and best factory radio. Miss that car
The carbage is needed for ballast. To tame the beast.
Especially the blown one.
3.8L can't stop, won't stop. GM should be kicked for killing that engine.
Only thing that could kill it
That wasn't GM's decision. It couldn't meet the new government emissions/mpg requirements
The man bought a 15k strap and damned if he isn’t going to use all of it!
Nothing wrong with thissssss.. wait a second...
But wait! There's more!
The Regal is attached to a Ranger with fishing line?
Was expecting a Chevy Sprint in front of the Buick
I was gonna say when I saw the exploderspedition…
What happens when they need to stop?!!
They don’t… this is going places and never stopping! What sheriff would try and pull him over?
Can't quite make it out but there must be a driver in the explorer. There just has to be.
With that said . . . Don't do this, folks.
That sounds cool meanwhile Satan's Buick over here is in the left lane!
Now that’s a great cop🙌
I remember "driving" the towed vehicle down several miles of I-55 and about ten miles of Highway 61 . . . I was also worried about getting a ticket. But we didn't see any law enforcement.
There must be a big auction down on I44 between St Louis and Springfield Missouri because every time I drive through there I see many towed vehicle train's that make no sense. PT cruiser's pulling 3 car's all will hazard's flashing. It's pretty wild but they seem to keep to the right lane and go kinda slow.
I don't see how that can be at all safe.
It can't be but they do it all the time. It's rural but on the interstate so IDK? I've thought about asking the Missouri subreddit before but forget to.
Well, I was doing that in deep southeast Missouri (but not with multiple vehicles . . .) back in the late 1970s/early 1980s . . .
I see a left arm with hand on the wheel, see, they’ve thought of everything
Expedition, but yes. There is a driver there. However, can't wait for the brake booster to give out and the Buick and Expedition start playing bumper floss with that tow strap.
Uncle Mike is in the trailer cooking up the evenings provisions too!….at least I suspect that’s the reality of “Gypsy Train”….
Don't worry, the calipers are froze up on the trailer.
It looks like there is someone in the first car being towed on the soft strap, presumably their job is to hit the brakes at the right time to avoid smashing the front car
You don’t fuck with the 3800!
It appears that you can, but it doesn't care.
Those v6 Lesabre's are freakin beasts. People abuse the crap out of these things, and these 25 y/o cars take it and won't die.
The one seen here is more like 35 y/o.
Wow. Old enough to know better, but it will keep going another decade of abuse.
As the owner of an 03 Lesabre with 230k miles, that I have beat the shit out, I concur.
What happens when someone jams on their brakes ahead of the Buick?
A. No one lives
They get a free 5th wheel trailer
They’re up to about 9th wheel with this setup!
In the passing lane. Why am I not surprised?
When the cops are on to you and you have to relocate the meth lab in a hurry.
Compromises are made.
That motor is fine, but I can smell the transmission cooking through my phone.
I see those Buicks with 500-600k miles. I’ve even seen a white Century get rear ended by a suv at 55mph, and the Buick was unaffected whilst the Expedition ran into a house.
I knew in my heart of hearts it was a Buick, had to ge a Buick lol
No need to worry this is the Buick LeSabre 2500 HD.
Even better, it's the 3800 HD.
I want to see the video of when he has to stop. That'd be quite the show.
The gm3800 is truly the work horse of the proletariat, Keeping poors on the road for a generation.
That 3800 v6 ain’t even sweating
I'm not even mad, that's kind of impressive
Is there someone in the truck hitting the brakes? This feels like one stoplight could kill you.
Now that is impressive.
Stupid, but impressive.
That 3800 don't give a shit, but that strap has to be woven from hopes and prayers.
...aaand they're camped out in the left lane.
In the left lane too. If they reversed the trailers and put the 5th wheel first it would be legal in many places.
That's highly illegal Corey and Trevor
If there is a will, there is a way.
I really hope that's fake.
That almost feels illegal. Haha! Imagine taking a sharp corner. That's a whole other substack...
3800💪💪
Gets reposted every few days with ever worsening music added.
And everytime I am horrified it’s out there on the road!
That looks really janky.
Two words: Send it!
That’s cool and all, but why’s he hogging the fast lane?
Boy, does this belong here!
As soon as I saw the explorer/expedition I was like “there’s a sedan pulling this road train, isn’t there?”
….i hope there’s somebody in the SUV on brake duty
Hear me out,….that buick weighs around147,000 lbs so other than the strap I think it’s gtg. /s
I don’t know were this is but here In Wisco 100% guaranteed you’re getting pulled over
At first I was like... "Ok, 5th connected to converter, that's fine. Bulk that with an SUV, fine, fine..."
But then I saw the length of the load strap connecting the SVU to the lead car and I'm like come.on. 12' MINIMUM YOU IDIOTS .
Good lord I thought the expedition was the end of it and skipped straight to the comments without realizing there was another one…
I was expecting a Smart at the front.
Just never stop and you’ll be fine
How does one stop?
The old Buick's probably not even working that hard..
Obviously just got kicked outta somewhere
In Hungary, we call that a gipsy caravan, cause that’s how they tow cars from Germany to Romania.
Fucking clown car… except rednecks jump out
Only in America
That trains a Rollin and Rollin and Rollin.
So no one here plays this game.
Take an RV name and put Anal in front of it.
This is the Anal Terry... Apparently.
You can find all sorts of names from expedition to mallard and even a raptor. The joke plays itself, enjoy folks.
This joke is way less funny than you think it is lol
Wait until you encounter the anal dolphin and not chuckle. I can't make you a human, but this is as human as painting penises in the roman era.
Edit: why the lol?
Nah, I'll level with you completely honestly here.
It's less of a thing now, but back in WoW circa 2005-2016ish, it was VERY very in vogue to do the Anal thing with names of Quests or Items, so frequently you'd be in a Trade channel and someone will post things like

How do they turn?
Ever been on an inner tube pulled by a speedboat?
Oh wtf
😱😱😱
I mean That's fine. . . . Fuckin' what
Nice to see them squatting in the left lane too.
Kavinsky is awesome. love this song. found them through related artists to GUNSHIP.
Looks legit to me, they are not holding up traffic or weaving around!!!! Poor people gotta do what they gotta do!!!
Like die in a traffic accident? The lead car is on by a strap with a heavy load behind them. There liable to get rammed by the van, potentially launched into traffic and hurt others. It's reckless, definitely a ticket.
So uh, just a strap. How does lead car not get wrecked if they must react to traffic?
I wonder if they were towing the car when the suv died. I can’t imagine this was planned. Actually, sadly, I can.
That 3800 is barely breaking a sweat 😂😮💨
I was expecting something to be towing the car
I was expecting that 3800 to be pushing something in front of it.
This should be the logo video for this sub. Awesome!!
I was starting to expect a kid on a trike at the front.
The must have not passed a cop yet.
florida?
“But wait, there’s more!”—Me, when I thought it couldn’t get any worse.
And he’s driving in the left lane
Normal Buick things
End stage capitalism is fun
That 3800 is a pretty good engine…
How do people actually think this makes sense?
Temu towing. We're first in last place.
How is this even possible?!?!
They see me rolling........
You get to do what you get to do!💪
I’ve seen way sketchier shit done with a clapped out 3.8 Buick. In fact, one friend had one and ran into a moving train with it, and still drove it home after.
Electra to the rescue!
Typical in Portland
Theres a guy in each vehicle that breaks and steers right?
Camper✅, Truck bed✅, Fully Loaded Explodeder✅, yellow belly strap✅, Buick Century✅. Egregious amounts of Meth✅.
That buick has seen some things
That's the power of a 3800! But the rest of the car is being destroyed in the process.
Wait till it’s time to hit the brakes.
Damn I didn't know Buick had it like that
We are making one trip

Top gear gang would be proud
Bro. What!!!?!
Now stop
That buick is fighting for its LIFE out there.
That buick ain't fighting for anything. Thats a 3800, it ain't even breaking a sweat. That strap on the other hand...
Please let this be real.
Where's the police when you need them
Excellent!! Gonna have to draw that out.
An oldie but a goodie.
That is classic!
And here I was thinking the final tow vehicle would be a Geo Metro. So disappointed it was a medium sized car.
It will be fine - as long as nothing happens 🤪
The cake is officially taken by this.
