I opened this app to see a suno post with a title where do we go from here?
LinkedIn is swamped with everybody talking about the merger of suno and Warner Media group.
People are scrambling right now. Unsure of the future. Has the creator of the sub, I think I've been pretty on the nose about where things are going. I'm glad many of you have agreed and joined in this.
Now is the time to be founders of a new concept, the integration of AI and Human, a simple idea, but the most important ideas always are. Please, today tell a friend, a neighbor, your boss, yourself, how you create in the hybrid evolution (nah someone got a better name) those of you who have been posting and committing regularly have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Big labels want you, CEOs of music companies want you, you can say you saw a vision of the future, and you dove into it.
Ok haha motivational speech is over, but I'm serious, if ever there was a time for payoff for early adoption, it is now, tech moves fast - #hybridproduction

You're right, the window to define 'Hybrid Production' is opening right now.
I've been treating Suno less like a slot machine and more like a session musician for the last month. I just wrapped a 9-track concept album (Zero Day by The Midnight Engine) using what I call the 'Director Method'—writing the lore, scripting the exact instrumentation per section, and treating the AI as a performer rather than a generator.
The results aren't just 'listenable'; they're cohesive. I even ran them through an industry-standard AI critique tool (trained by a former Universal Music Creative Director) and hit scores in the 90s.
If we're building a community around high-intent, curated AI production, I'm in. We need to move the conversation past 'look what I made' and into 'here is how I directed the machine to get exactly this result.'
I am making hits better than max martin between my demos and the AI and this is just the beginning i dont know how far will be this in comin years
How do you know they’re “better than” Max Martin? How do you define ‘better’? Isn’t that subjective? How do you account for personal bias?
The same way I do. I am a human being with taste in music and can subjectively compare how Max Martin hits make me feel to how my hits make me feel. Ear fatigue and personal bias exist, but I’m my own worst critic.
What this tells you is that you like your own music more than you like Max Martin hits. Better in that sense, to you. What I’m trying to get at is that it’s hard to say which one is objectively better when one has been heard by millions of people and the other has been heard by 5 people. Would those millions of people agree that your track is better? Hard to say.
I agree with you regarding objectively, but music is a subjective experience. The objective outcome you’re referring to is 99% marketing and investment by a system/machine/industry. Do you know how many “objectively better than X” songs there are out there that you’ll never hear, just statistically? A lot.
Sure, I agree with that. Honestly I just think it’s self-congratulatory and, dare I say, masturbatory, to call one’s own song a hit that is better than any [insert esteemed artist here]’s track, especially without any external popular consensus.
You’re not wrong. I definitely glazed myself and in retrospect I don’t think my music is really that good. False confidence aura acting as if my music is that good in hopes that I keep pushing myself until it actually is.
Hey man, you’re self-aware, and I totally get it. I’ve had moments where I was like “holy shit did I just make this” too lol. I don’t know why I went on this tangent. Don’t be too hard on yourself, just keep pushing. Most importantly, make music for you, and have fun doing it. I was also mostly referring to Guitardep’s original comment which was phrased in kind of a funny way lol.
This is the way right here. Glad I’m not the only one!
You’re saying that website you linked is the “industry standard” of what exactly?
It was created by a former Universal Music creative director. Designed to give feedback based on his industry experience, and the standards his position required.
It’s a Lovable-made AI tool that hallucinates and confabulates but sometimes gives you great horoscope-level advice on your tracks. It’s a funnel for you to pay for a human to listen to your track and steal your ideas (worst case scenario) and a great idea that is just rough around the edges (best case scenario).
I built my own on the same platform and then a better one on another private platform and am refining it into a real working tool for my label and music publishing / education suite.
I am now and hybrid kinda producer with many years as a guitar player...Guitar Dep Prod
Oh yeah I subscribed, are you a linkdin user ? It's going nuts on there. Definitely post you best stuff with #hybridproduction we will try and get a trend going!
I agree. I’m fully onboard with the concept.
This is exactly what I’m doing, with my human written lyrics and human produced compositions as the guiding fodder for the performer to experiment with.
