hey couldn't think of a better name, so lets have a little contest and see whats out there, i have been hearing awesome songs aross genres so why not make it interesting.

Topic: New Spin on an old Track - Drop one song you have made using pre existing audio of your own creation. Anything goes, so long as it stems from something you made before using any AI. Get creative, this could be Audio, Video, even Disco (see if anyone gets that )

    Initially tried to make the song entirely with FL Text to speech using some lyrics I wrote about a few years before that. Since that went as well as anyone can imagine with 2000 tech I bailed and kept a sample sound from that track.

    Few months - a year later I made this variation of it:https://youtu.be/hpM_N3ajbKE (I mixed in the 9/11 audio of the second tower being hit along with some obligatory full metal jacket soundbytes)

    I've taken that track and those lyrics and remixed it in Suno as I accidentally found the original lyrics that I long thought I lost/deleted due to the dark nature of them.

    It was originally a beat that a collaborator and rapper (Aka Danny G tha saviour) put the lyrics and vocals and came up with a kinda trap rap song. The beat i made was created on FL studio.

    Later, two years later i discovered Suno and tried some things and experimented with the app, i upload the song and make some changes and the final version i got was this

  • Original Riff

    Arranged in Cubase a couple years ago with a MIDI controller. I always liked the interplay between the descending bass line and the otherworldly aspects of the 2 rising melodies. Linked is what I uploaded into Suno raw to cover.

    150 covers/remixes later I had the base for Thalassophobia Along the way I had the idea of making the track and visuals focused on objects slowly sinking underwater. I took the 3 outputs I liked best, split the stems, and arranged the composition from pieces of each. I layered in atmospheric sound effects of waves crashing, sub bass impacts, and metal slowly creaking underwater. The mix/master took about 3 weeks. I wanted it to feel deep and crushing like a vast ocean expanse. I recorded and layered in various guitar riffs to complement certain sections; the Kraken/Cars Impacting section of the track took the longest to get right… the idea was for the song to progress slowly from waves softly crashing to impending doom, the kraken section signals that change in energy and I wanted it to be perfect. The video was another 3 weeks of work trying to tie the audio and visuals together to tell a story of a mysterious, ruined world covered entirely by the sea. Hope you enjoy!
