“This is kinda nice. I love clean paws. Maybe I should come around more… occasionally sleep over even. Wait, why are you holding that me shaped sweater and bandana???”
Theres Weave the coyote, who is a more or less tamed wild coyote. A dude let her into his house because she was trying to escape her pack cause they were being mean to her. Now weave hangs out with him and his dog and cat.
I mean, these guys are frens. If there's any wolf blood in these good boys, it's such an extremely small amount that they wouldn't be considered wolfdogs.
These do look like wolf dogs at least, I would assume some random assortment of any of the following - husky/malamute/gsd/wolf/coyote. You'd fucking for sure know if they were wolf dominant though as wolves look like fucking beautiful animatronic nightmares at this sort of distance
Picture don’t do some animals nearly enough justice. It’s like seeing a full grown moose for the first time. You think you know what you are in for until it’s right there and you’re like “Oh you are a beautiful monster creature, stay over there please”.
My uni butted up against the Canadian wilderness and there was a pack that had its territory across the river. We would all smoke weed down there and you could see them clearly on the hill a ways keeping watch and they always looked so cool. Then we crossed one day and saw one like 200 feet away and we never crossed the river again lol. Beautiful creatures to admire but never want to be in running distance from one again.
Yeah, I remember going to a natural history museum as a kid and they had a moose. Absolutely shocked to learn how big those things are. Still remember thinking my mom could have driven her car under it.
Fun fact, Moose are considered “Megafauna,” being one of the largest land mammals in North America. I was kind of surprised that they were placed into that category until I saw one up close once.
I presume this is that Canada place where you stay in a glass hotel and maybe the wolves on the island come. I have zero idea if the name, but is thing.
We did something similar on a ranch with hyenas (enclosed, but close to the cabins), and when they started screaming I woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, knowing for SURE how I died in a previous life. Absolute lizard-brain panic.
If so, I highly doubt that these are pure blood wolves. Their head to body ratios are too small for wolves and their paws aren‘t as big either. Also, wolves tend to have quite long legs compared to dogs and a far narrower chest.
There's actually two places in Canada that do this. Parc Omega and Cedar Meadows.
The video appears to be Parc Omega. Basically no good info on their site.
Cedar Meadows actually has a page where you can see photos of each of their wolves and it's a big difference, clearly they are entirely or nearly entirely wolf. And they claim that their wolves used to be owned by and live in zoos(which would be odd if they weren't fully wolf)
I’m pretty sure this is an Airbnb in Canada (I think but I might be misremembering and it might actually be a very cold US state) which is located on a wolfdog rescue reserve/property. There’s a few videos of this same place with “wolves” outside so I promise people pay for exactly this lol.
I’m sure there’s multiple across the northern bits of North America, but my first impression was this was at the Wolf Cabins at Parc Omega (Québec). It’s half nature park, half conservation area, where you can drive through and feed the herbivores carrots (while getting your hand slobbered on), and then they also offer cabins you can rent, a couple of them being on the wolf side, with incredible experiences like this. For a small fee of around $400 (? if im remembering correctly.) But I mean -motions to the freaking pack of wolves outside the window- even without the wolf guarantee, I’d say worth it.
I actually think it is this!! I just remembered vaguely someone else talking about it because these videos go around a lot without any context lol. I had no idea it was so fairly inexpensive to stay there. I bet they book up faaaast.
Parc Omega is one of my favourite places!! My kids and niblings love it, every time, but the real show stopper is going with my british relatives who think a copse of trees is a forest and a fox is scary wildlife. The kids and adults alike were losing their minds. :D
Think about it this way: either you go out to pet them and immediately get torn to shreds, a cool ass obituary. OR you become friends with a pack of wolves. Either way I see this as a win
3am:
Snow floofs: Y'ALL MIND IF WE SCREAM
“It’s a little late for carolers but y’all are cute…”
Snow floof is my new favorite phrase 😭
It's 3am? Let me play the song of my people
I must be lonely!
Waking up from a dead sleep and letting them all in on muscle memory
That would be my likely reaction too, lol.
Wait stop, lemme get your paws wiped off
Extremely befuddled wolf allows it.
“This is kinda nice. I love clean paws. Maybe I should come around more… occasionally sleep over even. Wait, why are you holding that me shaped sweater and bandana???”
And that’s how the beagle was made.
Something similar happened to a befuddled coyote I think. I believe he let a human that thought he was dog straight up cuddle. I think there are pics.
Theres Weave the coyote, who is a more or less tamed wild coyote. A dude let her into his house because she was trying to escape her pack cause they were being mean to her. Now weave hangs out with him and his dog and cat.
"hey, go to your kennel" - mine are crate trained for overnight.
This is probably how we got dogs.
Snow woofers
And their babies, the sub-woofers
Better call a hearse CAUSE IM BOUT TO PET THEM THINGS

CAN I PET DAT DAWG
I mean, these guys are frens. If there's any wolf blood in these good boys, it's such an extremely small amount that they wouldn't be considered wolfdogs.
These are fully wolves 💀
I'm pretty sure those are arctic wolves at the Parc Omega.
No, these are actual wolves lol
I mean that’s how we got dogs to begin with. And we’re all better off for it
These do look like wolf dogs at least, I would assume some random assortment of any of the following - husky/malamute/gsd/wolf/coyote. You'd fucking for sure know if they were wolf dominant though as wolves look like fucking beautiful animatronic nightmares at this sort of distance

I tried to be funny and ride one when I first got stationed in Alaska. Then I got close, she looked at me, and I sobered tf up real quick

Seen one crossing a road once while out hunting with my dad, we were in our truck thankfully on the way to the blind.
Even from a distance they are enormous
r/wolvesarebigyo
Not all wolves are. I worked as a wolf biologist with mexican grey wolves and they were barely bigger than a large coyote (50lbs)
Yes, I was excited to find wolves at a fairly close animal sanctuary, in Texas, but very disappointed to see a bit scraggly Mexican wolves.
Yeah, I remember going to a natural history museum as a kid and they had a moose. Absolutely shocked to learn how big those things are. Still remember thinking my mom could have driven her car under it.

North American wolves are big. Other are smaller
SO FREAKING BIG
As long as it has the brain of a husky, the rest of the gene pool could be 100% wolf and you're not getting hurt unless it wants cuddles.
And then the hurt is pride and being not soft enough when you mouths to get thr bellies. Oh puppers...
I presume this is that Canada place where you stay in a glass hotel and maybe the wolves on the island come. I have zero idea if the name, but is thing.
I was gonna say aren't gray wolves huge?
These aren't gray wolves, they're arctic wolves.
Bro there's literally a gray one in the middle. They're wolf dogs
Arctic wolves can be gray. Believe it or not, the arctic wolf os a subspecies of gray wolf.
These are wolves, not wolf dogs.
Yup, these are too small, and too wide legged in the front.
They're wolves. Lord preserve me
Wrong, they are wolves.
I have seem wolves up close. wolves a fucking huge.
I don’t care, these are still wolves 😆
"Open the door, it's fucking cold!"
If you’re cold, they’re cold
"Are you out your damn mind!"
I forgot the /s
My problem is that I'd go outside and try to play with them
No regrets. I firmly believe that wolves and coyotes just want treats and cuddles, and nobody would be able to convince me otherwise.
Except the wolves and the coyotes. They might convince you.
Maybe, but it wouldn't last long and I'd die with no regrets (of that specific action)
Lol, thank you for the qualifier.
The coyote in our neighborhood just wants to troll the dogs and seems uninterested in cuddles.
I’d absolutely go outside to play with them
That is some clean glass.
If you doubt that something is a wolf, it most likely isn't a wolf. You know a wolf when you see one, they're HUGE.
r/wolvesarebigyo
Wolfs vary in size. Not all are huge.
That's the same thing I say about me peepee
Why did I read/hear this in Mr. Krabs' voice xD
Still bigger than a husky though
Very true. I worked with mexican grey wolves as a biologist and they were barely bigger than the large coyotes in the region (50 pounds)
Yes but the ones you see here are Canadian wolves and those are not that small.
Exactly. Some are just really big.
These are wolves, this is at a sanctuary in Canada . You can rent one of 68 cabins there and get this experience
There's a zoo near where I live that has similiar accomodation set ups where you can do this with lions or tigers.
We did something similar on a ranch with hyenas (enclosed, but close to the cabins), and when they started screaming I woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, knowing for SURE how I died in a previous life. Absolute lizard-brain panic.
Oh, f-that. Nope, no way. They can figure out how to get in.
If so, I highly doubt that these are pure blood wolves. Their head to body ratios are too small for wolves and their paws aren‘t as big either. Also, wolves tend to have quite long legs compared to dogs and a far narrower chest.

If not friend, why friend shaped? 🥹
Someone has been feeding them?

TBF a hotel room in a major city can get around $400 if you’re in the wrong season, so that sounds like a deal to me.
Parc Omega is one of my favourite places!! My kids and niblings love it, every time, but the real show stopper is going with my british relatives who think a copse of trees is a forest and a fox is scary wildlife. The kids and adults alike were losing their minds. :D
Absolutely the guests have been feeding them.
Are these actual wolves? They don’t look big or terrifying enough for me to not want to pet them. Maybe I’m the problem.
Id probably join in the howl
Isn't this on purpose? Like its a special Airbnb or something?
Where is this? I’m booking my stay right now!
Parc Omega :)
Thanks.
My pomeranian would stand at the window thinking he could take them all on
Puppies!
Those actually are wolves. This is a place in Canada where the whole point is to have an immersive experience with wolves
Why are people saying these are not wolves. Look at them they are obviously wolves. Not every wolf is gigantic.
“Goddammit, the food is behind the barriers that we can see them through again…” - The Wolves
CAN I PET THAT DAWG?!
free doggies!
So gorgeous. I wish I was there. ♥️
Not them just screaming😂
Weird seeing a wolf staying at a wolf sanctuary.
Those are wolves tho
Wolf looking dogs
Literal wolves. Probably Arctic Wolves.
lol wrong, these are wolves.
Arctic wolves! Much smaller than the enormous wolves you might be thinking of.
Awww! if not friend why friend shaped !!!!
scary!
Those cute little fatties have to be pets.
I would never leave. Just wait every day for the wolves.
yeah thos aren't wolves or at least pure wolves. I wonder if the owners keep the to give an "authentic" experience...
And then someone says "Imma feed it" and a few thousand years later they're chihuahuas.
So a reverse zoo then?
If you're hungry, they're hungry. Let them inside and make them some soup
That is amazing
Isn’t this a resort you can pay to “wake up to the wolves” or whatever? it’s like a cabin in a wildlife reserve/wolf sanctuary
Think about it this way: either you go out to pet them and immediately get torn to shreds, a cool ass obituary. OR you become friends with a pack of wolves. Either way I see this as a win
Those idiots are gonna wind up domesticated if they don’t watch out
those look like dogs
If not friend why friend shaped?
Husky: Hold me beer
Hmm thats a lot of puppers
Hii awhooos
The pups are free
You can take them
*SHRUG* "Puhhhhpies!"
Cute, but I’d hate to your neighbor.
A full wolf would have the top of their head at about average human shoulder height, so these aren't full blooded wolves. They are HUGE IRL.
They’re arctic wolves.
He he, that’s nice…😬
So cool you got a serenade
That’s a lot of howling. They’re beautiful. I’d love to see that in person.
Oh my God, where is this, I have to go!
I would be in absolute heaven.
Don’t just stand there. Howl with them!
Hahaha have a nice sleep 💤 dear
Not an add just adding context to the video
Aren’t those just coyotes?
Doggos
Would love this 100%
80% of my upvote is for the correct use of PoV.
Nope, these are not dogs. They’re wolves.
Oh man.
Wolfdogs at best. Proper wolves are enormous.
Those are LED screens and surround sound.
