Honestly yeah, shag mats and fluffy rugs have been a thing for a while now. If this one got real dirty I guess you could always throw it in the wash or dryclean it, which isn't that big a deal.
I recently got some of those old school cane rug beaters because dust on my linens/rugs was pissing me off so bad. I was afraid of this rug - and now I am prepared. BRING IT ON
I find that to be true and with a ton of posts here. The things most people say are horrible to clean are just because they’re lazy or lack the knowledge.
Vacuuming it isnt the problem here tho it will not be great due to the uneven thick pile. Its the actual cleaning, what tends to happen is it gets dirty around the table area, leaving a noticeable ring of dirt buildup around the table. Dirt buildup from feet, drink spills, pets.. you will be using the table after all. You would need to take it in for cleaning to someone with one of those giant rotating carpet cleaners. Or do it with an upholstery tool and handbrush and/or CRB machine. Due to the thick pile the first option may be the only proper way. Either way it is indeed horrible to clean.
If that is acrylic yarn, it's not gonna last forever anyways. Wool yarn would eventually shrink and felt and could be hand washed as needed. Acrylic yarn is going to fray and look terrible with all those cut ends after a few years. Source: the scarves I have binned after the tassels went through the wash too many times.
It’ll be fine. Shaggy rugs are a thing and there’s nothing stopping them from vacuuming it. plus with the table on it it won’t get that dirty anyway, people won’t be walking on it.
Idc I want it
Eh... vacuuming it would be pretty easy.
At worst take it outside and give it a few whacks the oldschool way. It’s not any more difficult to clean than most other rugs.
Leafblower
This is definitely the chaotic evil answer

if this is impossible to clean yall are lazy

yeah some stuff you could just use one of those cans of compressed air. Like... it's a cleaning tool designed for hard to reach spaces
Bissell Green machine would take care of this no problem. And for people who didn’t have rug/carpet/upholstery cleaning tools, they are rentable.
i was just thinking i’d shake it out on the hardwood and let the roomba take care of the pile afterwards LOL
I love it, but I can only imagine what cleaning one of my cats hairballs out of it would be like
It’s amazingggg!!!!!’
My shins

People here are only reacting to the rug. How tf do you dust fake moss
Looks beautiful now.
Love to see it a year from now.

Guess it depends of they have kids or pets.
Shaggy rugs can be cleaned, they're horrible to clean though, hence the sub.
All those little mushrooms and figurines will need dusting, too.
Perfect music. How much LSD did it take to conceive this diorama inhabited by edible sprites?
For a second I thought someone was touching all the broccoli at the store lmao
Ypu are tripping over that every time
Dust mites. Allergy.
I don't know why people are downvoting you. I also have a dust mite allergy. It's partly why I posted this rug.
And we're in horrible to clean sub. Sigh.
It’s not like I vacuum often enough to make a difference anyway. At least this way the mold is less noticeable
