Had been having a persistent dream of a row of trees for many years, 15+, since I was a young adolescent. Last summer while walking I took a new route around the neighborhood and stumbled upon the exact lines of trees. It hit me immediately. Called my wife, sat there for a few minutes, took a picture or two and moved on. Was blown away that I actually finally saw this.
Eventually turned around on my walk and headed back to the row of trees. When I got exactly there, two owls flew out of a drainage ditch, and one settled on a branch closest to the road. It stared at me for minutes. Middle of the day. I knew it was some ethereal experience, I haven’t stopped thinking about it since.
I'm not sure if this really fits and it will probably get buried, but I'll write it anyway.
One night a few years ago I picked up this girl I was seeing and was driving her back to my place. She was born with really bad scoliosis in her back and has had surgeries for it and different medications and stuff, and sometimes experiences a lot of pain. Well this particular night I could tell she was in a lot of pain. She was still trying to make the best of the situation and be positive on the ride back, but I could tell every little bump in the road was really affecting her.
I have never really been religious but I do believe in the power of prayer, so as we are driving back in my head I said a prayer for her and I don't remember exactly what I said but basically just asked for mercy for her.
After we turned into my neighborhood, on the side of the road in a clearing by the woods lo and behold we see a mother deer and fawn. The fawn was literally just jumping around and playing, and she was so happy I remember the exact words out of her mouth were "that makes it all better".
This was in the middle of the night, and I have driven this road probably 1000s of times back and forth to work at this time and other times and have never seen deer on it before or since. I don't think it was a coincidence. I never told her I said the prayer or anything, but I will never forget this and really do believe something is listening that cares.
One time I had a past life regression. Felt transported to a ship I remember it looking old, like 1800s kinda. I was tied to the side during a storm and I saw a man fall off the side. It was my brother from that life and I felt this incredible surge of dread and sadness knowing I’d never see him again. The practitioner pushed me forward because I was extremely agitated. I was holding a little girls hand suddenly, looked down as she asked me if I was liking life 702…….fast forward a couple days, my best friends girlfriend moved out while he was at work, right before they renewed their lease. Burned him. He found a new place, didn’t want to live there anymore, so I go help him move and try to cheer him up. Craziest thing, the new place he moved to was apartment 702, and as I’m helping him unload his stuff we come across a lantern. He tells me that it’s from a ship. On his dad’s side, who is originally from New Zealand, there was a long line of sailors. I knew his dad but never knew that. Sometimes things are too coincidental, best bet my closest friend in this life was a brother in the past. Edit:clarity.
I watch tons of woowoo YT videos and one that I saw said that when we reincarnate, we stay with our spirit families (that could be family, friends or acquaintances), but it's often that there would have been connections in the past with souls you know in this life. I only had that once, so I've been reserving my opinion on is validity, but your story does fit the pattern.
I'm not sure, but i think it was an Edgar Cayce video.
That reminds me of books by either Michael newton or Brian Weiss. Journey of souls or many lives many masters, I forget which one has the soul family, although maybe this does go back to cayce too. You may like those books if interested. I’m generally skeptical too. It all adds up to a very nice and meaningful theory that we’re here to learn. Gives a measure of levity to some of the more outrageous and terrible shit that goes on on this planet. Just seems too nice! But I can’t erase how ridiculous that coincidence was in my life. I remember that that actually happened and it kinda reorients me in a way. Who knows
That story is fucked up lol. I had a similar experience with a past life regression as you call it which was honestly one of the strangest things I’ve ever experienced and one of two dreams where I have woke up absolutely drenched and I mean absolutely soaking head to toe. It to involved being in an old, old ship, it was so vivid I could feel the cold and the wind. Strange that it’s so similar to yours minus the aftermath.
You might find this interesting - Nikola Tesla (I’m pretty sure it was him but not 100%) would use imagination/visualization when building things to stress test his creation before there was even physical form to them, and would usually work out perfectly once it runs perfectly in his head. Not the exact same thing, but it just reminded me of using imagination/visualization as behavioral rehearsal in some pretty impressive ways
Tesla is very interesting and was definitely tapped into the consciousness field but I did not know that so thanks for sharing. I think it was him who said something about how our thoughts create reality.
I've had other high strangeness with dreams. Recently I dreamed about my parents walking around a movie theater, told them about it the next morning, and they told me they were at the movies last night and hadn't been in 10+ years. I've also shared dreamscapes and characters simultaneously with my mom.
That’s interesting. I used to be a skateboarder, and when I found that I just couldn’t land a new trick for the life of me I would daydream about it in class (high school). I would literally visualize everything from popping the trick, being mid air, landing on my skateboard, where my feet are placed etc.
The next day, I would go to the skatepark, and I would suprise myself and do just that.
Somewhat related: I am/was a singer, and do it somewhat compulsively because I am neurodivergent (it’s echolalia; also have perfect pitch because of how my brain “does” music). Anyway, I lost my voice for several days in high school and it was severe enough I had to see an ENT, etc. The worst case of laryngitis/losing my voice I’ve ever had by a mile.
Not being able to sing was like having an itch I couldn’t scratch. Maddening. Yet during this time, I would dream of beautiful, complex melodies that I could remember upon waking. It was like my brain wanted to explode because I couldn’t sing and just let it all flow out during sleep!
that's cool! i've had a few dreams where I came up with really complex and cool pieces of music that I'd never be able to recreate as i'm not a musician.
I've also had a few dreams where someone tells me a really good joke and then I wake up so confused like did my subconscious really just come up with that?
sometimes it really feels like these dream characters are actually other people.
Yeah, i got an F on an important test because I didn’t show my work. When I bitched about it, he said, “I don’t dispute that you can do it in your head. Show me what’s IN your head when writing the answers down.” It was actually really hard to try and relate what was in my head. But he was satisfied in the end that i didn’t cheat on the test OR any of my homework.
I have two brilliant kids who are in gifted programs (one just got his Wechsler IQ redone as part of his IEP at school, and overall core is at the 99.8% percentile). Their teachers bitch at them all the time for not showing their work. I’m fairly traditional about this kind of stuff, but when it comes to showing their math work, I essentially tell them, “to hell with it.”
My younger one with the IEP has ASD and ADHD—I couldn’t care less about him showing his math work. I just want him to focus on mastering the social-emotional stuff that challenges him daily. Gotta pick your battles!
Had a dream I was sitting in a very cool area with a long outside mall like strip and then, a few months later, I was with my girlfriend at the time and sitting down and got feeling of deja vous and then realized this was precisely the place I dreamt before.
Nothing special about the occasion other than the fact that I really thought it was a cool looking place (it was in Manhattan).
Same girlfriend -- asked to play a game where we both spit out a three digit number and we both said the same number at the same time.
Used to be a street performer. Walked to a beach one day. Passed a grocery store with a triangle shaped facade. Took a nap on the beach. Dreamed that i was astral projecting and that my body died of a heart attack and I couldn't "re-enter" it. Freak out until I feel one really strong heartbeat. Woke up on the beach and walked home. Grocery store now has a square facade and all the lyrics for the songs I cover are different.
Used changa one day, closed my eyes and entered this other realm. There I was shown the room I was in, from multiple angles, like, from every corner, from multiple points. Keep in mind I had my physical eyes closed, I could see my gf at the time and what she was doing. She was laughing and her mouth opened fractally, so crazy.
She also had used aswell so it wasn't so fantastical to her, it was like we had access to the same place so she simply understood it.
But my vision was like a fractured mirror, and inbetween there was these lines with little worms dancing happily, they where showing me it. They danced like rubber.
As usual, there's this sense that trip is ending, so we said our goodbyes and I came back slowly as it was fading.
I didn't know such thing was possible. Leaved me with a huge "?" in my world view for a long time.
Some time ago someone mentioned a similar thing and described these beings as the fabric of the universe, which keep it all together. You can see the paintings of Alex Grey for example, there are these lines with pictures in between.
I know many people don’t believe in them or think they’re faked (I do believe the ideomotor effect explains much of many people’s ouija experiences but not all) but what shattered my perception of reality was continued heavy usage of a ouija board when I was younger which culminated in objects moving by themselves in front of our eyes amongst other bizarre experiences. Things flying across the room (once) and things like the pointer moving on its own when our hands weren’t touching it. The entity told us its name was Zozo which seems to potentially be some type of trickster entity that many others have encountered. These experiences pre-date the internet and involved myself and 3 other friends. It left a mark on all of us.
I’m a very skeptical but BIG believer that reality is so much more than our five measly senses can accurately interpret and render, hence my unwavering belief in NHI and all sorts of other “fringe” things.
If it didn’t happen to me I’d likely be a hardcore skeptic and scoff at posts like mine so I fully understand where others come from when they think I’m a tin foil hat wearing nutter.
I’m thankful I had those experiences because they were one of many things in my life that allowed me to be more of a free thinker than I would have become without them. I consider thinking to be one of the greatest things we can do in life and love thought inspiring thoughts due to their spiritual enrichment I get from them.
I had a similar experience. Never saw objects move but the phone would ring. At midnight at a sleepover when we were preteens in the early 90s. I grabbed the phone and it was just a dial tone. Then a couple days later my sister was using the board. Again the phone rang. This time was the afternoon but I had the cordless next to me and picked it up right away. Again just a dial tone. Both times that happened someone was using the board alone. They said they felt a jolt of energy into their hands when the phone rang. I don’t know about the jolt, but I do know that phone rang two separate occasions and i answered and no one was on the other line.
The other thing that bothers me is that what it called itself was remarkably close to yours.
Ours would go from z to o back and forth sometimes and also do a ton of figure eights across the board for some reason.
No idea what it was but I do believe it involved aspects of reality and consciousness we don’t yet understand and actually may be cognitively incapable of understanding. All beings have a cognitive ceiling imo (I would think at least lol?) so just like a dog doesn have the neural hardware to understand calculus, I think it’s quite possible our brains in this moment of evolution are incapable of understanding many things in the paranormal. A fish can’t make sense of what’s out of the fish bowl though they can certainly see the universe on the other side of the glass.
Ours would spell out z-a-m-a-z when we asked its name. The corners of the letters on the board. Would definitely figure 8 as well. Super creepy. I’ve never heard anyone with a similar story like this before.
It started friendly and got more and more antagonistic. We were definitely partly to blame since we were little punks at that age. Regardless I never allow one of those boards into my house now.
I LOVE how your experiences are so similar to mine. Just like how people who state they’ve been abducted by aliens or NHI and how similar all their stories are. To me that means everyone that did experience it did but it doesn’t mean that we understand it or can make sense of what it really was (in my opinion).
The fact that mine occurred before the internet was really a thing like it is now yet others experienced it too suggests a true commonality between everyone’s experiences. You couldn’t just look this stuff up back then. You’d have to go to a library and even then I feel your results would be limited and require deep research to find.
Ours too became antagonistic towards the end after a like “honeymoon” period when we first started using it where it was friendly or benign. The two biggest experiences we had was when the board was asking me to hug it because it said it loved me. I was young and naive back then but thankfully not THAT naive so I decided to leave. As I was climbing down the ladder from my buddies parents attic (predominantly where we used the board) their dog started barking like at me but focused almost above my head. It had never barked at me before or after this like it did that day. As I walked out of the garage after climbing out of the attic the dog was following me down the driveway all while continuing to bark but almost focused above my head. Whatever it saw or sensed, I certainly couldn’t sense or see. They had an electric pet fence for their dogs so it stopped as I crossed the boundary of their driveway where it met the street but continued to bark for a few moments while I walked down the road. We were all neighborhood friends so I was walking back to my house a few houses down. I’ve no idea what its intentions were and I can’t say I have any real solid beliefs yet on possession/oppression (mainly due to not learning about it more or researching it) but I think it’s certainly possible for entities to alter or manipulate something within you or intrinsic to you for sure. What that may be, I’ve no clue. Very weird, reality shattering experience.
The other experience was when we were again in the attic and the consciousness or w/e it is (hesitant to use the word spirit because I don’t think I have the background knowledge to accurately define it) we were interacting with was telling us it was racist. While it was doing this the pointer was moving back and forth on our board pointing to a friend of ours at that the time that’s African American. He moved away from the board but it kept moving back and forth towards him predatorily and eventually flew right off the board directly at his head on a perfect line as if held up by a string above. He dodged it as it wasn’t moving too fast and it hit the unfinished drywall behind us (it was a slanted attic wall) and fell to the ground. It wasn’t moving fast enough to hurt him if it did hit him, plus those pointers are really light but it definitely sent a message. Now, as someone who has lots of skepticism in me I imagine anyone reading this will think someone threw it. That’s a perfectly logical jump for someone that wasn’t there to make. However, I was there and experienced it and all of our hands were on top of the pointer. Further, for one of us to throw that pointer that far and on that straight of a line somehow with our fingers on top of it would require an unmistakeable amount of force that the rest of us would have undoubtedly noticed. This thing moved on its own like a plane creating lift as it takes off from a runway.
Reality is fucking weird but thankfully equally fascinating to me.
This is pretty much why I joined this sub years ago. To see if anyone had ever had a similar experience as me. Ouija boards are usually laughed at, and I can see why, but that was all some weird shit. I’ve certainly tried to repress some of the memories over the years. Tried to convince myself my friends were pranking me or whatever. But the damn phone was always my reminder that, no, that all happened. Also the way the oracle would move at times would be impossible for a couple pranksters to pull off while others were unwitting. We had it fly off once after it kept circling into tighter and tighter spirals.
I agree with you that I never tried to put a specific entity or name to that phenomenon. Certainly has kept my mind open that there is some other shit going on besides what we experience through our senses.
I genuinely really appreciate you sharing your experience with me. I’ve never had the opportunity to talk with someone else that’s experienced the same phenomenon as I have other than my friends.
It seems time can slowlllly erode recollection and replace it with self doubt. However those experiences were intense enough that barring dementia or some other neurological event I’ll never forget them lol. However, talking with someone that’s also experienced it is quite reaffirming.
We only experience a small sliver of reality or whatever everything really is in our day to day waking lives.
No but many others have encountered Zozo or w/e it is - coulda been them! I’ve only been on one podcast for it and it was a small one. I don’t really get on podcast radars because it’s not something I “put out” there if that makes sense. I don’t mind telling the whole story here and there but I’m also not looking for an audience either if that makes sense.
I remember when the internet was much younger and when my memory of the situation popped up in my mind as well as the first time I had the thought to look it up. I wasn’t shocked to see a few other people on the web mentioning Zozo encounters in the past but I also was shocked because of the little bit of outside validity it gave me to to what I experienced.
Is your stance more “this was an intelligence completely outside myself that was doing it” or “this was an intelligence that came from me, just beyond my conscious awareness” pretty much like the ideomotor effect but on steroids
I’m not qualified obviously to give a definite answer so I can’t say. I will say that it COULD have somehow been our combined consciousness manifesting visually. That is of course a possibility and indeed one I’ve thought about in the past. Again though I just don’t know.
The skeptic in me also wonders why I can’t just pull up YouTube videos of similar happenings yet at the same time I know I experienced whatever it was myself and friends experienced. I’ve also done too many “paranormal” investigations in the past where I’m positive we’ve captured real EVP’s that aren’t misidentified sounds or pareidolia. A lot of under skilled investigators will publish “EVP’s” that are just junk at best but they too do really happen at the right time at the right place plus a bunch of other combined factors I couldn’t even begin to know about. I generally believe it’s all (NHI, “spirits”, etc) connected somehow through consciousness in some way or another especially considering we know virtually nothing about consciousness.
Climbed up my bunk bed ladder to get my book I left on my bed. As I climbed the ladder and reached the top I notice what looks like my twin brother under my blanket. We were both ten at the time and I thought he was under the blanket to scare me because it looked like he was on his knees on the bed waiting for me under the blanket. To get him for doing that I immediately form a fist and crash it down on his head... except there's nothing there just air. I was bewildered because it looked like a child hiding underneath the blanket. Grabbed my book and was freaked the fuck out and told no one. I got older and to this day and I am 26 now I have literally no fucking clue what that was.
Not something I’ve experienced but something that I leaned about. The Scole Experiment. If you’re not familiar it was an inaccurately named series of physical mediumship seances where they were attempting to prove the afterlife. In the course of the 5+ year seances there have been reports of disembodied voices, lights that floated, responded to thought, and entered the body and allegedly heal medical conditions (nothing that couldn’t technically be influenced by belief/placebo though), objects materializing, writing and pictures that appeared on film when blank film was placed in a lock box, spirits allegedly holding their own in conversation of complex disciplines and knowing personal information that they “shouldn’t” disembodied arms and even aliens reportedly being touched.
I severely doubt it was actually face value spirits and aliens. But why I put this in this category rather than simple fraud is because of how inconsistent the sittings were, how it seemed to respond to the mindset of the sitters, and how varied the archetypes and metaphors were used in terms of sophistication. One seance you will get a brilliant metaphor for projection and framing, and the next you get a cartoonish blueprint of a spirit talking device by Thomas Edison or an “typical grey” alien caught on camera. From what I can tell the level of sophistication varied on the outside sitters present. Even if this was intentional fraud, it’ll still amazing the level of cognitive dissonance the mediums would have had for it to turn out the way that it did. Because this wasn’t “I’m going to use cheese cloth to make people think something was coming out of my body” it was “one day I’m going to use psychological drama to explain what exactly is psychologically happening in this room one seance, the next I’m going to create a historically accurate newspaper that pasts tests to show it was printed in the correct time with no aging showing, and the next I’m going to show you a cartoonish picture of what the typical lay believer thinks how this all works.”
Why this is so interesting is because in interviews the mediums seem to remain a very literal interpretation and did not seems to give much way into the metaphorical aspects of what’s happening. With trance, it wouldn’t be out of the question that their speech would be more metaphorical that would be “above their heads” normally, but when you pair it with the creation of objects that would have to be deliberately created to support these metaphors, then we’re left with “how much did the mediums know what they were doing, even psychologically?”
When my daughter was a few years younger, preschool age, I woke up suddenly and knew I had to go check on her. This was not typical of me at all. Maybe I’d peek in on her if she were asleep and I hadn’t gone to bed yet. But I would never wake up suddenly in the middle of the night and feel compelled to go into her room.
Anyway, she had managed to turn her body perpendicular to the normal way one sleeps, so that her body was hanging off the bed, feet first, in the gap between the head of the bed and the side rail. Her head was still on the pillow and her torso was mostly still supported by the bed.
Maybe I’d heard a noise while asleep that woke me? Maybe if she had fallen, she wouldn’t have been hurt? Regardless, it was very bizarre.
As a child, I remember standing in a street near my home looking up at a giant plane hanging immobile in the sky. Another time, items disappeared from a locked, windowless room for which I had the only key.
I have a distinct memory of going outside to put something in the bin, and having a feeling that I should look up and as I did the sky was filled as far as the eye could see with planes thousands upon thousands? Millions? I had no idea but it was lots and now you mention it, it didn’t seem as if they were moving just up really high and there. Can remember staring at it for a bit, going back inside and forgetting about until weeks or months later. It’s like an out of body experience.
When I was a teenager, my friend group got into psychedelics. LSD and ‘shrooms. I had experienced telepathy several times since the initial event, but the event itself was the most weird by far. OK, so story time: we all went to go see Pink Floyd when they passed through Anaheim, and of course, we took a good supply of blotter acid. The show was an incredible spectacular presentation. There are spinning mirrored pylons getting hit with search lights that are sending out rotating beams of light across the whole stadium. There are lasers. There’s smoke. And there is a giant disco ball that rises up in front of the stage, which then proceeds to unfold from the top and the bottom like a lotus blossom. Like I said, pretty amazing. But sometime during the performance of Breathe, I started getting a weird feeling like they were singing about me. And not just in the generic “this song is about all of our shared experiences“ kind of way. I was getting all sorts of weird synchronicity where it seemed like my thoughts were being answered in the physical environment around me so then I turned to my friend and I asked her if something is going on? And when I did, I heard my voice echoing back to me throughout the whole arena, as if I was mic’d. And all of these synchronicities just kept happening all throughout the show, and then later after we left. I know, I know, just a hallucination brought on by psychoactive chemicals, right? Well, this state of question and answer synchronicity kept happening for about six more weeks. And I didn’t have any more acid during that time. I didn’t need it. It was like one really, really, REALLY long trip.
So what does one do with this information? You question the very nature of reality itself. I felt like I was the unwitting subject of somebody else’s game. Like there were intelligences, observing me, and even trying to communicate with me, and that the world itself was less rigid and structured and logical than I had been led to believe. That first night I hallucinated that I met God. He/She/They/It appeared as a rotating crystalline lattice of incredible complexity, and every facet was another consciousness experiencing through a different lens. Everything felt like a revelation, and the knowledge that it would all disappear when the acid wore off, and that I would doubt the truth of these experiences made me existentially despondent. Like I had been granted a glimpse of true reality at the cost of knowing I could never verify it objectively, and would always doubt my experience until I finally gave in and denied it completely, in order to survive in a false consensual reality. It was a solipsistic nightmare.
I guess the moral of the story is, don’t do drugs, kids. Not because you may go crazy, but because you might not be prepared for the answers to your questions..
One time I got home from work, it was broad daylight, completely clear blus sky.
I had just walked into my apartment which had a giant south facing window so the sun was shining in pretty good.
As I was walking by the window, suddenly it got dark. I'm talking like middle of the night dark, no light except what was coming off the devices in my house.
Before I could even register what had happened, it was light again.
It was like the sun turned off for less than a second. I have no idea what it could have been. I thought maybe it was the shadow of a low flying plane, but I immediately went outside to check and there was nothing in the sky.
Slipped through a time dilation or some kind of wormhole.
So I was driving to the airport which I work at. This drive on any given day takes between 53 and 60 minutes. I drive the express lane the whole way. I pass a certain building and I start to move over and prepare for my exit in a couple of exits. This morning around the 33 minute mark I not only passed my exit but the following exit too. Taken me another 6 minutes past to the next turn around.
Now it is early in the morning, but no more early than any other day. Somehow in 33 minutes I made the distance plus some from my work.
The crazy part, I was fully awake, having a smoke and listening to a podcast. The podcast was about crimes people committed while sleepwalking. I’m not saying I was sleepwalking/driving, but somehow I had no idea I had gone so far. It’s freaked me out. I’ve never made it to work that fast ever. Even when speeding by a lot I’ve never made it that fast.
I know I’ve blanked out before while driving and missed a street before. But whole sections of a major city. Impossible I say. Maybe I’ve watched too many sci-fi movies, but is it weird the only thing that makes any sense to me is if I passed through some time distortion or wormhole.
Has anyone had something like this happen before, that isn’t falling asleep. Because I was fully awake and aware of what and where I was until I wasn’t. One minute I’m by a certain exit that is seven exits from my exit, and the next I’m two exits past mine. Nine exit in total have vanished. Really wish I put in the dashcam so at least it would explain everything and I wouldn’t be freaked out.
Real lucid dreams and real out of body experiences. I have had both. You can learn to control lucid dreams. You can also, somewhat, learn to control OBE's. But here is the thing they never tell you about either lucid dreaming or OBEs. Practice long enough and get good at them and eventually you will meet things.
Putting aside any controversies around Carlos Casteneda, his writings about the Yaqui Indian Sorcerer's from Mexico is no joke. Look in Jacobo Greenberg's work which sits in the same space but with better science and research bonafides. There is stuff out there that WANTS to meet you. ;-)
If you hang out in those lucid dream realms and wander around in the OBE space, you will first feel them. You begin to sense that you are not alone wherever you are. OVer time they will begin to reach out to you. You will hear subtle sounds, in dream, or you will see unusual things happen while dreaming.
Lucid dreams are many times surreal, at first. But eventually they become sort of familiar and settle into consistent patterns. But sometimes these entities (Don Juan called them scouts, McKenna called them Machine Elves) start showing up with things to share, teach or trade. Some are good and fun. Some are mischievous and prankster like. Some are weird, mean and pretty close to evil.
The weird thing is that they will present themselves in a way that is at least familiar to you. The educators and teachers will show up as an educator or teacher you vibed with. Fun ones resemble fun people you know or symbols of fun times. Likewise the mean and evil ones show up as things that would scare you. What you have to understand in those realms is that none of your thoughts, feelings, wishes, dreams, loves, hatred or fear is hidden or off limits in those realms. Likewise you can see what they know too, which many times you DON'T want to do. Some of these life-forms/things appear to be REALLY old and know a lot of WEIRD interesting stuff.
It is fucking weird, and It takes some time getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, the scouts, elves or entities just end up being background noise you have to contend with. Once you realize that they are attracted to new things like we are, they lose interest. Once you realize the game they are playing and don't respond the way they expect, they go away. But, I will admit, that does take some time. They can be very persuasive and will use pretty much anything in your mind as building material. BTW: Don't try and stop them from reading your mind. It's pointless. We are like bug zappers to them. A very bright and attractive light that they cannot ignore.
After a while, the difference between the waking world and the dream world seems to blur. Imagine going from wakefulness, to a brief journey through a weird portal, then your in another world for like A WHOLE DAY, and then you wake up, back in the REAL World with full memories of the dream. It's like you never go to sleep. You just jump from one world back to the next, over and over and over. Seems scary right? Actually no. It felt good, natural and inviting: that is what scared me the most. How normal it actually started to feel.
I sometimes wonder if Roger Zelazny was on to something:
I’ve been thinking a lot about this recently. I haven’t told very many people. In fact, I just told my wife last night… well, I could’ve sworn I mentioned it long ago, but she apparently had no recollection of my doing so…
In 2020, I was involved in protests in my city surrounding the murder of George Floyd. I ended up getting into an altercation with an officer, got arrested, and caught charges that resulted in me being stuck on electronic monitoring in my tiny studio apt for about a year.
One day, towards the end of my pseudo-incarceration, I was visited by two men claiming to be FBI agents. I don’t remember if I asked for their badges. I don’t remember what they looked like or their ethnicities, besides the fact that they were both dressed in “business casual” attire. I know I let them inside my apartment, and I can visualize sitting on my couch with them standing somewhat menacingly over me. I remember they asked for seats, which I didn’t have. Just my bed and the couch.
Other than that, the only thing I remember is that they were NOT interested in my aforementioned charges. And I remember that they did not leave any cards or ways to contact them after they left, because I remember mentioning it to my lawyer, who thought it was odd. “They always leave a card,” she said.
I do not recall what it was they were interested in. I don’t recall how long they were there, what I said, anything. It’s as if our conversation was wiped from my memory. I know without a doubt that the visit happened. But the visit itself, aside from what I’ve mentioned, is just blank. Unsettlingly so.
I’m still not sure what to make of it. But I’m beginning to wonder if they were really FBI agents at all… and if my lapse in memory isn’t the result of coincidence… but design.
Thanks for another owl moment for myself. ✅
Who knows
Journey of souls by Michael newton
That story is fucked up lol. I had a similar experience with a past life regression as you call it which was honestly one of the strangest things I’ve ever experienced and one of two dreams where I have woke up absolutely drenched and I mean absolutely soaking head to toe. It to involved being in an old, old ship, it was so vivid I could feel the cold and the wind. Strange that it’s so similar to yours minus the aftermath.
the first time I realized there was more to reality was when I was a young boy.
I had a dream where somebody taught me how to tie a tie, I was probably 10 years old and had never tried or been taught how to do it before.
When I woke up I went to my dad's closet, grabbed a tie, and tied an almost perfect windsor knot using the instruction from my dream.
This is mirror neurons in action. I'm currently going down a rabbit hole about them.
This got me thinking because i used to do the same as a skater too but it always took me ages to figure out a new trick.
now that im thinking about it I bet its because I always visualized the crash too.
learning to crash-roll onto your shoulder was like the first like i learned about skating and maybe focused on it too much...
I've heard manifestation works best when you imagine not just the thing but how life is AFTER you get the thing too.
Anxiously accounting for negative outcomes doesn't allow space for that.
Me trying to explain to my math teachers why I wouldn’t show my work on tests. Word for word.
Quite a few but this one sticks out:
Had a dream I was sitting in a very cool area with a long outside mall like strip and then, a few months later, I was with my girlfriend at the time and sitting down and got feeling of deja vous and then realized this was precisely the place I dreamt before.
Nothing special about the occasion other than the fact that I really thought it was a cool looking place (it was in Manhattan).
Same girlfriend -- asked to play a game where we both spit out a three digit number and we both said the same number at the same time.
Déjà rêvé
Used to be a street performer. Walked to a beach one day. Passed a grocery store with a triangle shaped facade. Took a nap on the beach. Dreamed that i was astral projecting and that my body died of a heart attack and I couldn't "re-enter" it. Freak out until I feel one really strong heartbeat. Woke up on the beach and walked home. Grocery store now has a square facade and all the lyrics for the songs I cover are different.
wtf
Reminds me of this gem:

Did you or your friends tell this story on the podcast Otherworld by any chance?
If you haven’t heard of the Scole Experiment I think you’d be interested in learning about it
I just read an overview and that’s right up my alley. I’ll dig deeper into that - thanks for pointing me towards that!
For some reason I feel drawn to it and dove in head fist, so hit me up if you ever want to talk about it
It's crazy how many stories of zozo there is, where the user has no prior knowledge of that name. People end up burning or burying their boards.
I used to think of myself as a weirdo in a normal world. Now I consider myself a sane person in a world gone mad.
Wonko the Sane
Heroic dose
Shit was weird. I have no explanation for it.
Probably the lunar eclipse from a few years ago
first off, solar eclipse. second, there'd be a long time before and after when it is dim.
Uhh..... Pretty much every day I wake up in America recently
This question used to get organically asked, say, once every six months or so, and it was invariably a great rabbit hole for an entire evening.
I'm not sure that asking it once a week is a great strategy.
Then you are welcome to ignore the post! I’m not really scrolling through this sub enough to know who is asking what on a weekly basis.
I get that re-posts can be annoying but I think fundamentally people forget most people aren't terminally online Reddit enough to notice, lol.

The older I get the more I think the "Gods" people may be referring to exist and can cross worlds like I was doing briefly about 10-15 years ago.
There is something out there. The question is NOT what that something is but what "Out There" really means. It's more than space I can tell you that.
