It’s honestly kinda tough asking for cool variants of medium bots when you have so many War Striders running around.
I loved using the HMG against bots but the War Striders are too frequent for it to be viable at higher difficulties anymore. Also Heavy Devastator’s flinch covering their entire head is lame too.
Dude, heavy devastators flicnhing from HMG is some grade A bullshit. You shoot around the head, they flinch up, but keep firing. You shoot their gun arm, they flinch sideways and still somehow keep firing. You can shoot the feet, but that's just torturing yourself with HMG at this point.
I think the reason we don't see this is because the Berserkers are (at least in my head) defunct and/or damaged units, either through battle or a broken Fabricator.
They're not meant to be good, smart, and in this instance, use a jetpack. They're broken bots that were given chainsaw hands and thrown at the enemy to soften the beaches, so that Raiders, Devastators, and Hulks could rush in behind them and crush SEAF fortifications.
I think they could actually play into that here. Where jet brigade berserkers are actually more well repaired and streamlined because unlike the main force and incineration corps they can see their potential in their brigade so they put in more effort to make sure they are in top shape
