I'm just over one-third of the way towards being able to keep the graybies! If we make it another third of the way by the end of tomorrow, then I could pick them up on Saturday.

Maybe, but these guys were much better about not swarming him after they got snarled at the first time they did. Tram and Briefcase continued to ignore his boundaries, but the others learned to just say hi and continue on their way pretty quickly, except for Airport. But he has never been as bad as Tram and Briefcase were.
It's hilarious how Airport immediately flops onto his back, all four legs in the air, whenever Groucho rebukes him.
Groucho secretly is in love with all of them but is putting on a tough guy act 🥰🙈😻

I used to call this the Grandpa/Grandma Cat phase with my cats when I used to foster. They watch and correct the little ones but will still absolutely fuck up any adults except nursing Moms. Those ones get a pass. 🤷🏻♀️ It’s cute! Grandpa Groucho 🥰
Groucho actually seems to have gotten more aggressive towards other adults as he has gotten older. Last summer he beat the shit out of my neighbor, who was twice his size and 14 years younger. I had to pull him off.

I like to keep the heat at 65 during the day and 63 at night. But the furnace blower is starting to sound rougher and louder than it usually does, so I'm keeping it at 62 for a few days to minimize the load until someone can come take a look.

This is Airport, Passport, Briefcase, Subway, Suitcase, Ticket, and Tram during the first week they were allowed to run around downstairs.
Four of them went back to the shelter last week, and were adopted within two hours. My neighbor adopted Ticket.
The three I want to keep went back Wednesday. They get neutered today. So I have until Saturday to either pick them up or release the hold on them.
