One of my best friends from 1st thru 12th. We were drummers in marching band together. Our senior year, he got a girlfriend and that was it. After graduation we ended up at different colleges and have maybe spoken 5 times in over 40 years. He’s currently married to said girlfriend.
Be happy for him, as difficult as it may seem. You guys can still reconnect so, maybe put it out there to him. Definitely don't wait to find out until the divorce that may never come. The eldest of my siblings is 60 and stillll married to his high school spit swapper- err sweetheart. Some one once told me, some friends are for seasons, few are for life. That helped when friendships evolved to a different state. Good luck.
Mainly people from high school. I see them in passing, but don’t engage. If we haven’t talked since the summer after, I don’t consider them in my social circle.
Everyone
My girl crew was a total of 6.
We stuck together from middle school to marriage and kids. Once we started families we just went separate ways.
Childhood friend/ neighbor for over 65 years. She became a Trumper /MAGA. Sorry, how can a supposed "good Christian" support that hateful unChristian toxic narcissist??
My best friend we met when we were 10yrs, we would spend every weekend at each other's home and when the weekend was over we would cry when we had to go home. That lasted all the way thru college. However I left the state for an athletic scholarship and she went to a state college. She visited me through out college and when I came home on college break I visited her. I left for medical school and found out thru the grapevine that she was getting married. I was devastated. I had a few days break and flew home. Went to her house and told her I heard she was getting the next day. She asked me of i would be a hostess where people signed in, and I said yes, I was devastated that I was not asked to be a maid of honor or even a bride's maid. She had pledged on college and her line sisters were in her wedding. Just thinking about it now still brings tears to my eyes.
I had a bestfriend/classmate from kindergarten until we graduate highschool. We stopped talking at all when we turned college. We went to different schools
Someone whom I was best friends with till grade 8. She walked away with the friends I introduced her to. Haven’t seen or talked with her in over 30 years. She married and moved to the other side of the country.
He was I thought my best friend but as I matured I started paying attention to all the shit he got me into and then he’d just stand back and snicker. I now see him 2-3 times a year and listen to him and think man good thing I got away from him.
My older sister, we used to be close but she bullied me as a teen and now I try to spend as little time with her and possible, I don't hate her for it anymore but I still have little interest in hanging out with someone who treats their friends/family like that
Normally friends change whole life. I had spans: childhood, highschool, later years, now. All were/are good friends, but life changes, so are friends, without obvious reason, just crossfades
The best elementary friend group ever. The members initial are D, A, C, N, G, S, B 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I used to hung out with D the most. D remember we used to play that fake diy diaper snow together at your house and play in front of the school's peacock cage talking about KPK & FPB then playing at the school's garden eating honeysuckle. We also used to play rambutan war with KPK & FPB in the school's two story gazebo😭😭😭 we also go to the mall tgt and you decorate my lineplay's Avatar while I eat some potatoes😭😭 I havent met u since 5th grade!!!
My best friend that practically lived with me for a year when her parents were divorcing. Her mom would drop her off 20 minutes before school and pick her up at 5:30. We’d have sleepovers almost every weekend and some weeknights.
Una amiga, cuando entramos al colegio nos separamos xq nos metimos en diferentes secciones y después dejamos de tener comunicación y después se fue del país

Everyone. I do sometimes surface chat with one person but we don't really talk. Most of my friends are from the college/adult years.

Hmm. Like everyone.

Everyone I grew up with.
This one girl. She was great, but she was mean to my friend so I cut her off.

Guy who stole from me and my family
My childhood friend from summer camp - we talked nonstop back then, but adulthood and distance turned it into the occasional nostalgic message.
