I was never a huge fan of his but he's made some good funny here and there. Still say 60% of his jokes don't land though, but he can animate.
You've got to be joking a this point. Valve makes all of their announcements themselves. There's no reason they would share the attention with anything else, much less pay a show like the game awards for space in the program to announce it.
