I've been using minoxidil for about 4 years now and still haven't found a good routine. The liquid drips off my scalp, gets on my hands, and I'm never sure if I'm getting even coverage. I end up doing this weird gentle massage that probably isn't even helping.

Curious if others deal with this:

  • Does it drip down your face/neck?
  • Do you feel like you're wasting product?
  • Hard to get it evenly on your scalp?
  • The "massage" part feels pointless?

Have you tried any applicator tools? Did they actually help?

Just trying to figure out if I'm doing something wrong or if this is just how it is lol

  • Having used it for 4 years, have you noticed any changes? I've been using it for about 3 months and it seems to bother me too, and I haven't noticed that many changes either. I should clarify that I don't use a fin. What I do is separate the strands of hair, exposing the scalp, and then apply it drop by drop and massage it in.

  • I have been using it for more than 4 years now and can say it's a tedious task to be consistent but over time I feel I got comfortable with application process. I get bothered with how my hair clumps together after applying and needs washing more often than I would prefer but the dripping part is sorted. I apply it like how you apply oil. Parting, applying with three fingers and that covers the whole head. Doesn't drip as I precisely dip and take up how much would one swap be required so no wastage with even application all through out.

I don't massage afterwards as it makes my hair fallout comparatively more plus I feel the application part might be doing necessary massage.

  • You can switch to ✨oral minoxidil✨

Works much better systemic, no greasiness, just one pill. It's also insured quite often, so won't cost a thing.
