Had a coil on order since day after Thanksgiving, which was on backorder, and was not expected to come in until Jan. 09.
Received notice that it arrived Jan. 07, scheduled install with the customer for Jan 08., and morning of the tech was dispatched to pickup the coil on their way to the customer. Tech gets there and they give him a story of how they "mistakenly" sold that exact same coil to another HVAC company that same morning...
JS checked inventory and had showed another in stock, and promised it would be shipped overnight and received before the close of business the next day...and then it didn't arrive....
Then JS promised up and down that it would arrive on the Noon delivery truck on Monday...and it didn't arrive...
I speak to the manager and he gives me the line, "Well, we placed the orders back to our main warehouse, but we don't know what's on the delivery truck until it gets here and we inventory the shipment." Seriously dude? Amazon can tell me when my package is three stops away, and send me a picture of the damn delivery driver's foot next to my package, but you can't tell me if a part was placed on a truck for an store-to-store delivery?
Anyone else have ridiculous stories with these guys??
Sorry you are having problems with your Johnson.
Johnson controls might be able help!
Two months ago I couldn’t get a 3 pole 120v coil contactor with an auxiliary relay from these knuckle heads.
Man I was way out in the sticks one time where I’d never worked before and called what I thought was Johnstone but it was Johnson, it was like a bizarro world supply house. I needed a two speed condenser fan motor and the guy was straight up arguing with me that it doesn’t exist. Like brother I’m out here looking at it…
I’ve done this same thing. Internet searched Johnstone, called the number and had a conversation that we realized was needing Johnson. Hung up. Did a different search and got a different number. The person that answered was the same person I just got off the phone with!
It’s funny that despite your attempt to clarify the vast majority of people in the comments still don’t actually know which company you’re talking about.
I was thinking the same thing. But still, fuck JCI also.
Dude, hard agree. I’ve had it with them at this point
If you like, just a third different company not even mentioned in the OP haha.
Oh I’m aware of what the OP is talking about but everyone else seems to be thinking JCI.
I've got enough to go around
Love having to order a supply fan for a JCI York 20 Ton AHU that’s gonna take 6 weeks to get here. Maybe.
If it’s any comfort, I used to work for JCI, and this even happened to me and my colleagues countless times.
Right, reps steal equipment all the time at jci. The structure is dumb. The person allocating the equipment isnt bound by the sales management and vice versa, and if its between 2 different locations, forget about it.
I like webb and a specific plumbers supply everyone else kinda mid
Yeah they don’t have a problem asking for there money asap when they finish a controls job, but when you call for parts it’s like asking for something that never existed
You got your Johnsons mixed up.
Johnson? Finish a controls job? What world do you live in?
