This is no strategy, it's game logic: your story progress within the same chapter may be blocked until you learn a new spell / flying move or earn the number of stars needed.
Meaning the game will force you to complete the sessions / classes regardless of your desire, before you can move forward. This way they make sure you spend more time doing menial tasks than the actual story.
And even if there is no progress block within the chapter, you'll have to complete classes anyway to start the next chapter.
So it's just common sense to get things out of the way at once and then enjoy the story as a whole without any distractions.
Strategy is about one taking some planning on the events ahead and making efforts to set things in motion of his/her own design to achieve specific goals.
While in the situation that I described there's just one actual course of actions, predetermined by developers, and no room for planning - only the choice between two options they force on you.
There are two options. A choice between the two that one makes before starting is a strategy. How you like to use the word and how it makes you feel is not the same as its actual definition.
No, I continually fail the story class (get it to four stars before bed then let the timer run out while I'm asleep) while working on the plot chapters unless it forces me to do it, then complete the story class when I'm ready to move onto the next chapter. It's the most efficient way to grind attributes. I'll do the study sessions to unlock that before starting the story though.
I do classes first before story as well.
Nope, I usually do classes first.
That's what I also do, classes/lessons.
This is the recommended strategy of Hogwarts Cafe

While everything you’ve said in your explication is true, it’s still the definition of a strategy

Strategy: a plan that is intended to achieve a particular purpose.
Yeah, exactly, but there is not actual plan in here.
It's like striking a match on a matchbox and seeing a flame - it doesn't mean you had a strategy for lighting the match.
It's just how it is, how it works, how it is intended to be.

Nope, me too
I do story first and then lessons, unless there's a flying lesson.
I wish it didn’t take so much damn energy to do the classes, and the study session they make you do. 😩
I know
Same!!
Yes me too
No, I do that as well.

Nope, I like to do the classes Mon-Wed so I can go to classes during Story Spree. It's a great strategy 🤓
