I took a gap semester over these last 6 months and decided to start this game. It was light enough and fun that I was grinding very hard and I spent a considerable amount of time and money to maximize my hyperfixation on the game. With all this free time, I didn't struggle to finish as many TSLQ's and tasks as I could. I also had no trouble finishing the diaries.

However, as I start to get into a routine again, I find myself not watering the plants (I spent god knows how many gems getting the majority of them just for me to consistently run out of plant food and MORE AND MORE plants keep getting added?? I give up!), not completing a quidditch/dueling match, missing the carnivals, finding the magical milestones pass more and more worthless, and most importantly not finishing ALL of the tasks in the TSLQ's.

I don't want to give up on this game but some TSLQ's just don't come back! 3 of the Christmas TSLQ's I lost time on, and I won't be able to finish this one either. What's the point? I'm starting not to care about the game because I can't move past Y3 if I can't finish at least 75% of the TSLQ's; but I don't have the time to! Can we at least have a DAY or two extra??

  • Unfortunately this has been an issue for a long time now. People have put in suggestions, emails, complained, left reviews but nothing changes. While I love Hogwarts Mystery I’ve taken numerous hiatuses from this game due to my frustration with many game mechanics or choices made by JC. At the end of the day do your best to enjoy what you can but don’t pressure yourself too much. Most seasonal TLSQ’s repeat yearly so you’ll have another chance.

I just did the dragon quest challenge and that was ridiculous. I used some diamonds and found 150 energy and just got it done. I'm not even doing the next one as there is no point - I just can't do it without spending gems.

I'll probably just stick to the main story at this point as no need for all these impossible side quests.

  • You kinda need to pick and choose what you want to do. I don't worry about most of the special events unless I see something I really want.

I don't do the plants at all. Not worth it to me.

I do focus on finishing the TSLQ's when they pop up and only do special event stuff to get extra energy.

  • Gurl same. I only work 3-4 days of the week yet.im never able to complete anything other then the plot, but even thats a grind sometimes

  • Yeah that's why I usually save to do my timed quests once a month I buy a shit-ton of Gems and then spend them all on energy maybe sometimes I'll buy a pet or something but yeah.

Then I can just spam the timed quests by that I mean not worry about gems not ignore the story or anything.

  • That's the only thing I spend my earnings from the greenhouse on. I buy the energy, the refill energy faster, and the unlimited energy for 3 minutes on TLSQ's.
