It’s said by one of my colleague. He said male friendship is a joke. He said men don’t like other men may be they team up temporarily. But jealous, envy, competition, hate will creep in. Because of Testosterone. Have you guys had this experience

  • I mean…some dudes do indeed feel the need to compete always, but you don’t have to hang out with those dudes…

  • I wouldn’t say it’s ‘because of testosterone,’ like it’s some inevitability, but I would agree in the sense that society has conditioned men to dislike each other and devalue make friendships compared to other types of relationships.

  • I think he dislikes other men and is projecting.

  • In my late 30s and have 3 guy friends i would take a bullet for and they would for me. Maybe don't listen to or take advice from dopes who can't get along with other people. I generally find that people with attitudes like your coworker are themselves the problem

  • This is simply untrue. I have numerous close male friends of 30+ years.

Men literally die for each other in combat.

Actually from the information i saw men only die for other men if they believe they are higher than them. Men almost never give their life for someone equal or lower than them. It can be anything status or intelligence. I think the reason is toxic masculinity as the other comment mentioned

What the hell are you talking about? What are your experiences in combat? I can tell you from my personal experiences that whatever you're reading is bullshit. There are literal ranks and roles in the military, so what are you saying? People would die for their lieutenant but not their battle buddies who are the same rank or lower? Where are you reading this garbage? Is this one of those things where you say its "your friend" but really its your terrible opinion, that you know is shit so you dont admit you believe it in public?

Is this one of those things where you say it’s "your friend" but really it’s your terrible opinion, that you know is shit so you dont admit you believe it in public?

OP and the comment are reading that way tbh

Jfc if you think the bar for liking someone is being willing to die for them then you are legit insane.

    Is this trolling? Lmao

  • Dude sees other men as competition and is projecting. Or he's holding on to some hurt from when he was younger that he needs to resolve

    Yup. That dude probably sucks.

  • only if you like the same women/have the exact same type, or if they mog you and stop you getting women you might otherwise get. Otherwise don’t agree except for with those who think like this.

  • In general, I’d disagree. I understand where he’s coming from, but I think your dudes can be the best sounding-board and friends.

It is difficult. It really requires you and your friends to be emotional vulnerable and open. There’s probably some resistance at first but men really need outlets and, in my experience, are happy to accept them once they feel safe.

  • Naw thats some pathetic self esteem lacking bullshit

  • Lol I don't think I've read a more inaccurate post in a long while. Your friend has issues.

  • No.

Sounds like your colleague is a man hater.

  • Ummm… I have plenty of homies that I hug and tell them I love them frequently. So I can confidently say I like them. Your colleague is presenting small dick energy. And be careful with that “colleague”. He probably doesn’t like you. Because of all that testosterone you’re carrying around

  • Women say this about women too lol. It's not true across the board, and I assume it's the same for men.

  • Id take a bullet for some of my male friends, and i only met them through fucking dungeons and dragons

  • These type of dudes exist, they are not all men. Just find your crowd. Find out who you’re.dealing with as soon as possible and sort them into the proper category.

    Categories:

    1) avoid at all cost

    2) keep at arms length

    3) associate

No one should ever be in two categories, it should be difficult to change from a negative category to a positive. If a demotion happens it’s permanent

  • If I meet another dude and we share a few interests, I will talk with him for an hour before I know it. We will become fast friends for life.

Though, I think this is the best troll job ever or engagement crap post ever. If not, my dude please go talk with someone and release whatever burden is bothering you.

  • dude i miss my friends, i ghosted them when i got depressed. im too ashamed to contact them again

edit. they were really good people, they tried their best to take care of me..

Speaking from personal experience (depression and “s” ideation), there nothing to be ashamed of and the real ones will understand
Reach out to them, they miss you too

i didnt explain shit. so its embarrassing af

    I’ve been there
Again, the real ones will understand

    Edit: removed rando word

  • Well, I think females are exactly the same with each other… Huh? 🤔
