TRUSVILLE, Ala. (WBRC) - The Trussville Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred this weekend.
According to Trussville Police, around 1:05 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, the department received a call of a person shot in the 1900 block of Gadsden Highway.
Police say when they arrived, they secured the area while emergency medical assistance was provided.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another person was taken into custody.
Sunday, Dec. 21, Trussville Police stated that 32-year-old Christian Scott White was the victim in the shooting.
Trussville authorities say they obtained a murder warrant through the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office for 24-year-old Kanen Isaac Harper, of Moody. Officlas say Harper will be taken to the Jefferson County Jail where he will be held with no bond.

This is Trussville’s first homicide of 2025, according to Mayor Ben Short.
