So I finally got back into building my RG Hi-Nu Gundam (which I was putting off for months/ a year and some change) and I don’t remember enjoying putting a kit together in SSSOOOOOO long; I haven’t even remotely finished it but so far I think I’m enjoying myself a little too much just starring at the un-panel lined and sicker-less lower half 😂😂
Heads up, that's not even the full knee bend.

Flair checks out
The RG kits are freaking awesome
But is the rg unicorn banshee awesome because I have it
A transforming Unicorn in 1/144 is still very impressive. But it has its weaknessesd. Try to loosen up the pemolded joints before assembeling the kit as they are incredibly stiff out of the box. Also make shure to only move them as intended, the instructions tell you how they are meant to move.

Ok
11/10 kits. The RG Unicorn and alm of it's variants are my favorite kits I've built so far
Should I build the mg unicorn or the rg banshee first
Kill the MG first! It's not a bad kit, but the RG will be a lot more fun of a build. I love them both!! Which MG you get? Just the regular or the Ver Ka?
Full armor unicorn
Ah yessir!! Yeah, finish him first. It is an awesome kit!! VERY finicky, though. I display him without the attachments. Makes it a lot less of a hassle!
I built the MG Phenex years ago and opted to display it without the extra stuff as it didn't feel stable lol.

A picture of it with the others I took it a few days ago
Yes but mind the elbows(already mentioned) and also the freaking shoulders. The elbow's easy if you pay close attention to the instructions—there's a lot of notes there: make sure to read them—but the shoulders aren't mentioned anywhere. The front/back rotation is very, very stiff: either loosen them up properly before putting everything together or use a drop of silicon grease once you're done.
Ok
RG Banshee or its Unicorn variants is the best in terms of value.
Ok but is the mg full armor unicorn version a good value

deserved some censorship?
What HWS kit did you get? I've been wanting to get one for my RG Hi-Nu when I build it
it's the Effect Wings brand, it's made specifically for RG Hi-Nu (Nu and Nu FF flavors are also available)
Well, guess I've got a bit more shopping to do! I also want to get the hyper bazooka
Planning to pick that up as well (both variants). PB got one recently but I kinda liked the EW kits so I'm leaning to that choice (also EW bazookas comes with LED). Also might get a Long Range Fin Funnel just to go all in.
Ooh, I think "come with LEDs" sold me on that, if availability wouldn't have already. What's a long range fin funnel?
it's the large fin funnel on Nu FF

here's an example for Hi-Nu
I was really hoping to find one when I went shopping today, I'll have to find it some other time
No that is just the best kit ever made.
I mean that kit may have the best ever leg build on a model kit, and I’ve built hundreds. It was pure artistry
To be fair, the RG Hi Nu is considered one of the best kits Bandai's ever put out.
Heads up! You’re missing his toes!
Thanks 🙏🏽 😊
They've gotten really good lately. I've been floored by the MGSDs which is where Bandai is focusing all their R&D on these days. Or the MGEX
You're building the GOAT of RG kits
So yes and no. Its not always this enjoyable, but yes gunpla has gotten easier to build compared to 10-20-30 years ago
I know the RGs are nice but I want a nice MG too
check out the Fat Cat Rx-78-2 or God Gundam. I have heard good things about them, its basically a RG in 1/100 scale.
Much appreciated 👍🏽
Hi nu is just that peak
Had the same thought, i was genuinely amazed by the knee bend and the fun gimmicks the kit had.
All rg amuro kits are at least a 9/10 with 10 being truly the best of the best
The first rg rx 78-2?
Oops, meant the recent amuro kits so the grandpa 2.0 in this case. It's insanely good, the 1.0 not so much
My favourite pair of legs, it’s amazing how it just comes together all of a sudden.
Love how many moving pieces there are outside of just the basic movement 😋

Definitely one of the best kits out there regardless of scale or grade
rg god gundam and shining gundam is pretty good too if you are looking for a kit with great articulation and stability
Perfect 👌🏾thank you 🙏🏽
Just did the RG Shining Gundam, my first RG, and I felt the same way about the legs. The balance, the poses, the way it came together in frequent "aha!" moments. I rushed to finish it once I started.
Rg Shining gundam was my “come back kit” after one year… i enjoyed it so much that it Made me fell in love again with this hobby … especially during fall/winter season
Got this in my backlog until I can get the expansion kit
That’s gonna be my next purchase too 👏🏽
I just built the legs this weekend and couldn’t stop myself from bending and playing with them every which way. Fascinating mechanics
Especially the side moving panels on the legs
I built this months ago and it makes me wanna buy this kit again.
Looks like once I finish this build; I’ll be chasing this dragon 🐉 for a while 😂
I m going on almost 1 year and I'm addicted. I wanted to try it years ago but I didn't know where to get a gunpla kit from then one day I walk into gamestop and they had 1 kit. It was the HG barbataurus. It was my first kit and it was almost my last because of how tiny and loose and wobly this kit is like what she said I thought it'd be bigger 😅. But I did some research and looked up what kits were bigger and which were more detailed etc. So I looked for my favorite gundam which was the deathscythe hell ew version and bought the mg and sdce version and was hooked!
This kit is awesome! But how do you folk that have it keep the fin funnels attached? Mine are super loose and they pop out super easy its super annoying I want to be able to handle it without them falling off so easily. I wish bandai added a simple lock mechanism other that the funnels be friction placed.
You can Try with some clear topcoat on the joints… it will create kind of a layer on those parts and make them fit better…
Anyway, there are tons of video on YouTube about how to fix lose joints
Sudan. Right i never thought about top coat. Thank you.
No worries mate, hope this helps you!
Hell yeah
the RG Hi-Nu is a masterclass in engineering and satisfaction. Only rivaled and/or topped by the RG Sazabi, I do truly hope I can find a master grade that can give me the technical satisfaction of this real grade while also being BEEG
RG Hi Nu r top of RG line ~~
I find gunpla very enjoyable and relaxing
Apart from the old MG kits.
Those I find stressful and boring
