I've had this build nearly done for almost a year now, but have had many other priorities getting in the way of building (also getting sidetracked by new kits instead of finishing WIPs). Happy to finally have it completed though!
I really enjoyed this build, but please make sure to sand all the pegs when building. It's really tight fitment, and I definitely broke a few parts like the waist bend and front ankle armor. Nothing that couldn't be repaired, but took a really smooth build and made it a bit more complicated and mildly frustrating.
I need the exat name of this kit and where to get it
Nilson works 1/60 monument repair type
Wish they would do a reprint
There's a new version, Nilson works 1/60 monument FX Flugal
Yeah I've seen it but I much more prefer the og design over that one.
Same. First post I saw here of someone's finished build I raced to buy it and had to wait for a restock email. Then had to wait eight months until I had time to build it and finished it two days ago. It's fucking gorgeous.
Just finished my first leg on this guy

Nice recolors! Can't wait to see the finished piece!
Thank you thank you. I'm a slow worker plus having a busy career and two kids makes for very slow progress but I'll get there eventually
I feel this. I usually only get through 2-3 builds a year right now.
Looks awesome, I just finished mine today too
How was the build for you? anything unexpected?
I loved the mechanics and design, but occasional poor molding quality and super tight fitting was not what I expected. Cool build overall, which showed me that I love 1/144 scale more. Also, because of the size, there are plastic cuts ALL over the house 😄
Lol, yeah I feel that. The super tight fitting was more than I expected even though I figured there'd be some.
It'll be a nice centerpiece for all your other 1/144 kits!

Already thinking how am gonna repaint the new version with the wings, this kit was such a pleasure to build, one of my favorites builds.
Looks great! How was the build?
Last 3rd party kit I built is a hand grenade
Definitely not a hand grenade imo. The build was really nice from what I remember, with the exception of all pegs being too tight. If you build it sand, sand, and sand some more, don't force any of them. I need pliers to help me move the front skirts lol
Dang I broke the waist bend peg too lol
Suuuuper tight. Had to cement it and sand the peg itself a lot. Seems to be holding up well now
The big goose looks better than ever!
I have the FX on preorder. There are not many pictures of it yet so I do wonder if the wing design includes boosters like the tallgeese flugel. I was already kinda interested in this kit but I had to pounce when I saw the FX. Will be interesting to see how they designed the heat rod too.
This thing is fucking crazy... I'm not sure if I want this one or wait for the Flugel one. How does it compare to a bandai kit? I have never built a 3rd party kit before.
The build is pretty good and interesting. It's not Bandai quality on fitment or necessarily design in some places. Some things are designed in a way that's asking to break, but if you take your time it's really fun!
Good to know. I've only ever been tempted by 2 3rd party kits this one and the Solomon GP02A. One day I'll pull the trigger one one them.
I've also thought about doing the Solomon for a long time, but I have enough sitting in my backlog I haven't ordered it yet.
This is the first kit that I've just decided to not do the waterslides. My waterslides literally crumbled
That's unfortunate. Mine held up pretty well when I applied them, but quality is variable on 3rd party kits.
Front ankle armor joint breaker here! Fortunately my colleague printed me replacement parts, but I had to wait quite some time here. Also two important parts from the head and chest part were a bad mold, but the seller got me replacements. It's quite nice to look on the finished product, but I'm not sure if I would tackel it again. On the other side, the Fluegel version looks good... :'D
I ended up just cutting off the whole plastic piece that attaches the front ankle armor and used a metal rod instead. Works really well.
Yeah I really like the TG3 Flugel but the colors just aren't doing it for me. Too much white
I did the metal rod solution first time too, but was not really satisfied with it. Turns out it looked exactly the same, as with the replacement part.
This is gorgeous
This thing looks mint. Shame there's no 1/100, this one wouldn't fit with my other 50+ mg
Looks awesomeeee
How did you panel line?
I’m going to steer mine once I get through my backlog a bit.
Also which parts were tighter fitting? Want to make sure I sand the pegs down a bit on my build so I don’t break anything on fitting
Also I'd sand any peg in the chest and waist, both arms and both leg connection pegs, the front skirt armor, and the front ankle armor pegs. There might be more I'm forgetting, just test and don't force anything.
Ya know I don't even remember now, but given that it's ABS cause it's 3rd party I probably used a regular pen for panel lining instead of my pour type pen.
I've had mine sitting under my desk for over a year. I haven't even started cutting the parts from the sprues yet. It's intimidating.
It's definitely a commitment. If you take your time and have patience with the build you'll be alright. Gotta enjoy the journey on this one.
Awesome.. My New Year Resolution is to start building mine next year! Thanks for heads up on the pegs.
Building mine rn as well! Some parts are very tight to attach. Already broke a piece of the foot armour and one of the oblique armours. Committing the "repair" namesake now.
This is definitely a target kit next year! Looks awesome!
Might have to add this to my wishlist. Kit looks amazing!
Will that make me the only one who have it and didn't build it LOL. Thanks for the tips and your build is awsome did you paint it?
Thank you! No I didn't paint it, I just gave it a matte topcoat
Looks AMAZING but wish there was a smaller one, like 1/144. I built the MG Barbatos and RG Hi-nu and have the MG Vidar in my backlog, I have no more space ðŸ˜
I've never been much of a fan of the Tallgeese, but something about this one makes me really want it.
Did you paint this or give it a top coat?
No paint, just gave it a matte topcoat

Currently mid build on mine
Hell ya!
