It's legal in California under certain circumstances. This was definitely not the way to do it because people often change lanes suddenly with zero turn signals. Good luck with their insurance companies.
If you take your hands off the handle bars, then you can't control clutch, so motor propels the motorcycle forward, and the front brake, so no way to overpower lack of clutch to stop.
All you have left is the rear brake controlled by the right foot.
He totally gave up control after the tiny, most likely able to be recovered from, nudge.
Lane splitters should go to Southeast Asia for a few weeks to practice how to lane split. It's really not that hard man. Just don't go so fast like a damn idiot and ride defensively.
I’ve never understood splitting lanes. Why is it not on the far left? I’d imagine that would be a lot safer to be on the outside/shoulder than where cars are changing lanes. Does anyone know why it was decided that passing between lanes was preferred over passing on the far left? Thanks!
Far left is where all the debris on the road ends up.
Law sez ya can’t lane share in a single lane. Lane splitting takes a little lane from two lanes.
In California, lane splitting is allowed if traffic is moving slower than 15 mph and the motorcycle can’t go faster than 25mph. That was last I checked.
This is comedic
Was the yellow bike made of Legos? Where did all those parts come from?
Loot drop.
Waving my hands in the air like I just don't care! -Motorcycle 4, probably
I'm sure every one of them blamed the car that moved over a little bit for all of this.
Its like learning how to roller blade but never learning how to stop
You stop by running into a wall, right?
That's what I usually do, or like this, find the nearest car
I like the guy who gets nudged and just immediately gives up and lets himself tip over.
Motorcycle Rider #4, I can't control my bike if I let go of the clutch and front brake...I leave it to you o'lord.
Told jesus to take the wheel, forgot i was using handlebars. Upside: my car is safe.
You should not be splitting lanes on the freeway…. You’re all stupid.
Not at those speeds anyway.

"bUt It'S lEgAl AnD sAfEr FoR mE DuRr duRr"
It’s actually not legal at high speed. It’s legal when the traffic is still or crawling
Well it seems like it being legal in any regard translates into the brain of many bikers as "I can do 120 between 80 traffic"
Were they, though?
None of them.
As a motorcyclist myself, I really hate how idiots like this make us all look bad.
I will NEVER "look twice" for motorcyclists. DRIVE NORMALLY.
I’ve never operated a motorcycle, but I can’t understand how the 4th one wasn’t able to stop. It’s like he just gave up.

“Jesus take the wheel!”
Oh bikes are involved clearly its everyone else whos the problem and caused any accident seen...
Bro, I swear that motorcycles are like some Darwin award magnet for people with more adrenaline than brains...

Wow they suck
They make all the ATGATT, responsible riders look bad.

Welcome to California motorcycles will lane split in bumper to bumper traffic or when everyone is going 70mph+
Last guy got rearended by his buddy
Biker #4 reporting for dooty.
It's fpv fault. Dropped bike and ran causing 3rd bucket to drop his too
I thought it was the rear brake lock up. They tried to swerve and rear-brake at the same time. Swerve alone would have saved them.
well, you know what... I know nothing about bikes so i give this to you.
Between all of them, they have the collective riding skill of one substandard motorcyclist.
Collective IQ of about 40
Lane splitters get what comes naturally - wrecks.
Organ donors.
Second person’s passenger was caked up! I assume they were the passenger since the cam view kept moving after she ran off.
That was a bike mounted camera that tracked her. The girl in the yoga pants and tennis shoes was motorcyclist #3. She laid her bike down.
No hands #4 went down after her.
