This is great but it’s important to understand the context of this. 400k acres is a land area about the size of Houston, Texas. We would need a LOT more billionaires doing this to see a real impact.
Again, I think this is great and I applaud him. Just want everyone to realize the magnitude of the crisis we’re up against and what it will actually take to fix this mess.
A couple of guys here are talking about the livelihood and employment of those who work for logging firms; perhaps they should look for job elsewhere. I support fair employment, but not if it involves harming the environment. That isn't employment, though. That is simply paid destruction.
