Hes very much Maine Coon! We figure he'll not get much longer but definitely going to fill-out over yhe next couple years. It's very odd having a cat this big if you've never experienced it! Lol
We had a MC mix (Java the Slut) who reached 20 lbs. You're right, a cat that big takes some getting used to. But his heart was as big as his body so it worked out.
We went to the other extreme with our COVID kitty. She is a 7 pound permakitten.
Sorry for late reply. He is around 16lbs as well right now and will be 2 years old in December. He's an adorable floof for sure!! His sister (littermate) is currently around 12lbs. Bob was the biggest of the litter; his sister was the runt.
