You have to use the Xenochromatic Armored Crabs to parry the attacks. So hold the skill button before any attack hits you, and your ability will buff, then aim your buffed skill towards the enemy and fire (this is while your holding unto the skill button so you're gonna have to let their attacks hit you). While you're holding the skill button, whenever they attack, they won't damage you, and you'll be granted a shield. Good luck!

For the underwater boss, you can hold the attack button with the crab ability to absorb its attacks and release to fire it back.
