• Right side for me.

Ordered and elegant gold/warm white lights GF loves her chaotic colorful lights GF

What if we turn the trees into women and make them kiss?

I was thinking neighbors turned girlfriends decorating their eventually shared house. But that would be cool too

    Both, we should do both

Yess, I see the gold lights as a mature older woman who is helplessly endeared to the colorful lights.

  • Colorful except colorful led christmas lights are so hard to look at that I can only have them on the white setting

It's because coloured LEDs only make one singular wavelength of light, so they end up looking garish. If they'd just use white LEDs and put coloured caps on them, same as they did with incandescent lights, they'd be proper polychromatic colours that are much more pleasing. (Some actually have started doing this. Look for ones branded "vintage", or go for VintaGlo or Tru-Tone.) Alec, of the channel Technology Connections has a whole series of annual videos about the subject.

alec christmas light video doth mark the season

    Oop, beat me to it!

  • I mean, both? Too much color is too much chaos, but only gold, that's boring. Why can't we have both?

  • Two girls decorating a tree as a combo, one in elegant Christmas colors, one in Christmas craziness, and then make them kiss

  • Colourful for outside, golden for inside

  • Red and white colour for candy cane lights :D

  • Make the trees lesbians

  • Wtf the answer is clearly both??

Colored lights by themselves are cold, you need to mix them with gold to make them colorful while keeping the room warm in tone!

So yes, it counts, the ship is canon.

  • Oh nice it's the blog that made people decide which hasard symbol was the sexiest

  • I wish I had the artistic vision and skills to be able to put this into action. (And no, not GenAI…this really does require human vision.) I can’t wait to see what people come up with.

  • Ok but why are the colorful lights cool toned??? I distinctly remember them being warm toned.

  • The prettiest home decorations I’ve ever seen were all a deep blue colour. Tasteful and restrained, and actually kind of minimal. But thoughtfully laid out and all a single, gorgeous colour.

  • White lights, wrap the tree in red ribbon and use red/white/gold ornaments, stick white/gold felt flowers all over it. My decorating style is yuri now

  • The majority of off the shelf multicolor leds lack the warm light quality of the incandescent strings they are meant to replace. There's companies that make LED multicolored strands that aren't harsh, and if you compare those against the warm white led strands they feel much more suited for the holidays.

  • Our family ones did a tree full of pink decor (but a colorful light because that’s the only one we had)

It was really cute, can I see it being out with these trees as a humanization

  • On a tree: gold lights with colorful ornaments. A nice middle- ground
