Jeez, don't remind me. The original one was dreadful. Every class, even the quickest, felt slower than fat rolling in Dark Souls. Those original devs did level up, though, when they moved onto The Surge series.
Honestly, except for the final area, the original has at least really good level design. Plus depending on your weapon it's not too slow.
...I still need to finish it, the final area's just too much of a maze to navigate. I killed all the enemies, got every shortcut I could find, but just... Couldn't find any sort of path forward.

The first one (the reboot) was definitely flawed, but had some good points, especially with the visual design. It actually had some really cool armor and creature designs. Gooner bait makes no sense unless its like the crazed zealot ladies in tattered armor or something along those lines. But yeah god forbid we have a game where people are wearing armor that make some amount of sense.
They need to put less energy into this garbage and more into cleaning up the combat.
