Are you using your phone in an area with poor cellular reception? I noticed my phone battery is great on my day off, but plummets at work.
I recently learned when the phone reception is weak, it increases the transmitter range & power to stay connected with cellular tower (it's extremely energy intensive). Workplace like hospital with layers of concrete wall, basements constantly disrupts the phone cellular network, and makes it it constantly scanning for a cellular tower.
I put my phone on airplane mode and use wifi-call and it's working amazingly. 3 hours of screen time (30 mins of game time too) for 32% of battery use.
I've had Samsung phones since the first note. I've never had a battery issue like this, they've only gotten better and better over the years.
I've got the fold 7 now and I'm impressed with the battery so far based on how much everyone is complaining about it. I go all day and am at 40ish% left every day with moderate usage.
This doesn't seem like a device problem for you if you've not had any luck... Ever...
Then it's not a samsung issue, that's your phone provider issues and every cell phone issues. LlWhen there is little to no cellular signal, it's even worse bc it's constantly using power to search for radio tower. Noticed Bluetooth pairing default scans device for 3-5 mins? Same logic, if you let Bluetooth scan all day long, your battery plummets.
Your 38 min on reddit used 8% battery, equal to my usage 8% onreddit for 2 hours and 10 mins.
Disable nearby device search. It constantly searches for nerby devices and drains the battery
Turn off usage data access in digital wellbeing setings
Whenever possible use wifi. Wifi uses less battery and if you are in a spot were there are couple of celular towers nerby your device will switch between them and use even more battery.
Set screen to auto brightness
Put into deep sleep apps that you dont use every day,
Disable notifications to non esential apps
Use dark mode everywere you can.
If nothing works, your battery might be close to dying, either replace battery or buy new phone. If your warranty is still active try to use that so they change your battery for free
I completely agree, BUT.. I've had the Fold5, 6 and it's been the same for both of them and then I grabbed the F old7 hoping that was the one that had Semi-decent battery life (not good, decent).
But no, it's shit and I returned it after 1 month.
I have the same phone setup on all of them and now I have the same setup on a Pixel 10 Pro Fold and guess what, battery life is EXCELLENT.
Welcome to the life of a galaxy fold my friend. I've had the folds 1,3 and 5 and if you use them as intended (unfolded) they chew through battery. I've recently switched to the Honor magic v5, because I was sick of Samsung's outside cover display and small battery capacity. The battery on the V5 is lightyears ahead of any galaxy fold.
Yep all of the Folds have pretty awful battery life. I was traveling around a foreign country earlier this month and kinda regret having a Fold 7. Had to stop exploring to charge my phone a couple times before buying a power bank
Fold 5 owner here. Phone is off the charger at 6-7am most days when I'm up and out the door. 12 hours later it needs a top up, before fully charging when I go to bed at around 9.30pm. And I'm not even a power user.
Switched to an iPhone 16 Pro Max. I charge it overnight every second day.

To be fair, I am in a place that has little to no signal.
I'm not sure why, but this has been a consistent issue I've had with every Samsung phone I've owned.

That's really odd. My Bluetooth is barely on. What could be causing this on a normal day when I have signal?
Sounds like it's working harder for that signal.
The point is Bluetooth only scans for 5 mins for nearby device and it turns scanning off. The scanning consumes power
You working in an area without cellular network means it's scanning the entire time, all day long
For me fold 7 works amazingly

👏👏👏 You should share this secret with us.
No tiktok. It realy fucks up the battery.

Disabling nearby devices search made a HUGE impact on my battery.

Yes the processor is slightly worst, but I don't game, so all apps run just the same, literally no difference that I can spot day to day.

For now cannot compare the battery life of fold with flagship slab phone.
this seems normal. what do you expect. its a fold 7. i used mine for 3 hours 54%
