Fold3 5g problème d'activation wifi
Just got my fold7 ! But after the purchase i saw all the thread about the inner screen failure, probably the hinge issue, the left part of the screen become black.
What should I do? Resell the device as fast as possible, use with extra care? How much is this common?

From Flip to Fold. I liked the 5 but it felt like a brick in my pocket so I got a Flip 6 and loved it and then got the 7. I liked the 7 but I started getting buyers remorse and after playing with the demo Fold 7 at Best Buy I decided to get this and sell the Flip 7. It's so much thinner and lighter than the Fold 5 and I love using a fold again.
I got mine early this week, and I'm loving every moment of it. I don't think I can ever go back. I watch a lot of content on my phone, so this is a perfect upgrade. I love the lightness when it's folded open.
My only real complaint is the camera bump, but honestly, I understand the tradeoff.
I purchased a fold 7 after being nagged by my other half - coming from a real me 7 pro.
I must say I'm not impressed and, after a few weeks of use, it's back in its box and I'm back with my trusty realme.
Probably the biggest and most expensive mistake I've ever made.
New fold 7 stuck to June update
Hi guys, I just bought a fold 7 from Samsung and I transfered everything through smart switch from fold 3. The weird thing is the phones shows up to date to June update and Google update to May update. What's wrong? European market.
Anyone got a recommendation for a case with a sturdy reliable kickstand that handles the upened up phone nicely, adjustable hight in both landscape and portrate?

Switched to Fold from IOS, but using airpods pro introduced very noticeable latency in gaming and movies. Is it ok? Is there any way to fix it? If not, what earbuds you can recommend? Thanks!

I got my Z Fold7 A few days ago and I love it already so much. I was previously using a Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 for 4+ years and it died 3 weeks ago. I love the Cover Screen so much! I'll make some pictures soon because I can't post video's on this Mega thread area
So I got a Fold7 (first foldable) and I bought a case for it. I'm usually not a case person, but figured I'd get one for this phone considering it's a foldable. I like it but I feel like the fingerprint reader is almost unusable. Does anyone else use a case or do you go no case? I got the Spigen Slim Armor Pro.

got the Torras case. little bit of quality issue on the hinge, doesn't sit flush at the top. not a deal breaker.
Did the jump from my S23U. I love it but I am not having the easiest time finding apps that do cool stuff with the bigger screen, like Whatsapp for example - it presents an interface that has the list of chats on the left, and not just make the same content of the regular app wider. Is there a list of apps that are foldable-aware?
The specific advantage of the large screen IMO is not due to an app having different interface or functionality because of the screen size but the multi task capabilities are significantly better than on a standard screen. Side by side, pop-up, even three apps on the screen. Not even close to the capabilities you are going to have on a standard screen. Also the settings for the way an app opens in aspect ratio or if you are able to access the edge panel and add apps to the panel - use the open in pop-up setting and every app you add there will open in the pop-up on top of the active onscreen app. That is a great way to use apps that are complimentary to each other and not have a bunch of app pairs set up. A great example is using the calculator with any app on screen. Calculator pop-up and you still have the active app if you are trying to see information on the screen.
I also just got here the same way as you (s23u to fold 7). I'm also looking for good apps but I feel like at least things scale well overall!
There is an option in the settings of the phone to make Apps not split and just widen their content
but that would mean apps that are like Whatsapp will never use the full screen right

Recently upgraded to a Fold 7 after finding a solid deal (sub £1100 total including 24mth 100gb plan after 2x tablet trade ins), hard to say no to that tbh
As a first time foldable phone user and as someone who has exclusively been using Sony Xperia phones for the past half a decade (I'm moving on from an Xperia 1 V), the last time having used a Samsung phone being all the way back with the S8+, it's deffo quite a change for me but one I've been mostly a fan of. It's amazing how thin and light such a foldable device can be, I love how the cover display is a 21:9 aspect ratio like all of those Xperias I've had for the past few years, One UI has deffo been growing on me with all of the customizability it offers throguh Good Lock and honestly battery life has been pretty decent, comparable enough to my Xperia 1 V.

There is definitely an anodizing finish problem with these Fold 7's. I've had mine for 2 weeks. I haven't even had a chance to get the case on it yet. The finish is coming off along the hinge and corners of the phone. Other than the finish being poorly applied, I really like the phone.
I am having same issue but for the front facia. In 3 weeks time it piled off and Samsung customer services declined any responsibility. Did you manage to deal with your issue? This is very bad device.
Samsung didn't do anything for me. I ended up using the damage protection on my credit card to get the repair done. Apparently this is a common issue for the Blue Fold 7.

Preordered the 512GB Black through Samsung as an AT&T upgrade.
Shipping was originally Aug 22nd, then Sept 3rd, then Sept 12, and now Oct 7th
Are we ever going to get our phones? I friggin pre-ordered and there's already phones hitting the secondary market.
I also am still waiting. Here in Canada I preordered on July 22nd from Rogers. Sadly they do not give updates. Only flat 4+ weeks backorder which has been since the 26th of July. I know they have blue and black for 256gb in stock again. Though 256gb silver and 512gb black are still 4+ weeks. Will be 7 weeks as of tomorrow with no updates. Hoping for both of us that we get them before the end of the month at this rate!
T-Mobile preorder in Puerto Rico. August 13 ETA for weeks with no updates. Tried a bunch of customer service routes to try to get a solution (like changing the order to a non backordered config) but no help. They gave me a credit after a lot of fight if I was willing to keep waiting but it’s been 3 more weeks since then. I just want my phone
I hear ya. Next Tuesday will be 8 weeks of waiting. Frustrating when know there are some carriers getting stock. As several people that ordered after me are claiming they got the 512gb in black weeks ago. Not impressed with Samsung's way of handling this. You hyped up a phone that you knew you did not have the stock for the demand. Lack of communication and transparency from Samsung and certain carriers is really what's bothering me the most.

I finally got my Fold 7 yesterday and put it in the case I bought… and my husband says it looks like a Nintendo DS now… and I can’t unsee that. 😂 Even with this massive case it’s still lighter than my iPhone 15 Pro Max in its otterbox!

Posting this here cause I need to vent. I got my Z fold 7 last week and haven't been able to get a case and screen protector until today due to lack of stock in my area. This morning my outer screen got scratched cause my morning alarm vibrated my phone off the night stand 😭
I've been so careful with my phone and it gets damaged in the dumbest way hours before my protection arrived. Anyway, hope everyone else's day went off to a better start
If I were you, I would be dreaming of the Fold 8 and counting down the days until next July or August when they ship. That brand new Fold 7 would already be garbage to me and nothing could change that.
I literally did that with my Fold 6. I got it in August 2024. In January 2025, my titanium Fold 6 was barely four months old and still had that new phone feel. I still loved it more than some of my family but not more than my car (there are limits to a phone). I had barely finished whatever the current thought I had for my home screen layout. The horror that followed can only be described as gut wrenching. I dropped the titanium beauty while it was opened.
It was in my hands. I was holding it as you would to type on the full keyboard. Out of the blue it just fell. In my house. On hardwood floors. Like any parent that just dropped their baby, I reacted and tried to catch it. In the aftermath I realized I should have just let it fall. The attempt to catch it resulted in the phone flipping over and landing about 5' away on the hardwood. Opened. On the inner screen. The result was a tiny line near the crease that was no more than an 1/8 of an inch long and looked like a few pixels were dead.
I was horrified, despondent, and emotionally in a dark, dark place. I immediately searched for any information on the Z Fold 7 release and began the 6 month wait filled with anxiety and stress over my wholly inadequate and absolutely embarrassing, blemished phone. It was horrible but finally July 24 arrived and happy days are here again!

Tbh I was accidentally sent the blue but didn't like the Blue /black accessories colour mismatch , I've always had black phones so kinda used too black 👌...also the blue is the colour you always see on adverts /Youtuber influencers, so to me in my mad head black is different on this occasion rather than being the flag ship colour
That's cool. Yeah the black is more sleek looking. Trust me I felt the same way about my jet black s25 ultra. But this blue fold is so cold. I,d probably would have gotten the s25 ultra in the same color or at least had very strongly considered it. Too bad it's the same color that most people will probably choose/chosen the same. 😕

After applying lens covers, the picture quality of my Fold 7 has visibly degraded. I have used covers made by Amazon basics. Admittedly they are cheap ones. Does it do any damage to the original glass on the lens if I remove them like the glue getting attached to the glass?
Not me, put a zagg lens protector on mine and quality is perfect.
In case you still were looking for an answer to this, you can remove any leftover glue or adhesives with isopropyl alcohol.

For what it's worth, my first Fold 7 didn't even come close to folding flat. I returned it and just got my replacement. It is a perfect 180°. Inconvenient, but worth it.
Which colour were your first and second one? I returned mine because of not opening flat and I'm going to order a replacement so I wonder if the colour makes a difference

Last year they said my fold five was damaged that I traded in. Fortunately I had video and photos of me boxing and shipping it took about a week but I got my money back. This year no problems whatsoever I'm always glad to receive this email every year

I was sad they made it wider when folded, but it's so much thinner that the tradeoff was easily worth it.
Like others, I find it harder to open than expected. I still haven't figured out a foolproof way to do it casually without thinking about it, and if it doesn't get easier, it'll be an impediment for quickly flipping it open for shorter tasks.
I think it needs a very slight bump or lip somewhere that helps with opening. I was hoping the volume rocker might help, but it doesn't since the other side has no purchase. Maybe add a bump or button on the other cover's side to help open it. If it doesn't get better, I may think of putting a tiny strip of tape or something to give grip.
I've had my Z Fold7 for almost a week and I'm crazy about it. I'm finding a new tips and tricks video daily on YouTube to keep learning new things. It's a slippery little sucker, though, so I'll be glad when my backorder case arrives to help with safely handing it. Count me as a very happy camper!
Have you got Samsung app good guardians,good lock, theme park. Theme park allows you to use icon packs from the Google Play store without downloading a launcher

I cannot state strongly enough how much I love my 16-gigabyte RAM, 1-terabyte Z Fold 7. For me, it has the perfect outer and inner screen size, and the device's overall thickness is perfect. The cameras are good enough for me, since I never cared about the cameras in the first place. I wear a Thinborne case, and at times I forget that it's in my pocket. I really do wish it had S Pen support, both on the inner and outer screens, but I guess a cheap capacitive stylus will have to do for now.
I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max, S24 Ultra and now the Zfold 7. Previously had the ZF6. I go caseless about 75% of the time.
I have to say, compared to all others - the 7 feels the most futuristic of all of them. I think it has to do with the folded and unfolded aspect ratios.
Hiya - need a little tech help with my zf7. The swipe down menus have changed inexplicably. I want to reset the gestures back to: Right corner swipe - settings Middle swipe down - notifications I can't find where to do it. Thanks for your knowledge!
Swipe down so it's the settings menu. Press the pencil. Then press panel settings on the top left. You can change it there.

Apple finally can make foldable device.
My first Samsung and Android phone. Fold 7 is everything I always wanted. I hated the Android system but can't wait for Apple to innovate. So after 15 years I am now all into this device. This is finally looking more and more Apple like perfect. Apple waited in sidelines to get this perfected. Now next year I am going back to Apple after their first fold. Hopefully it would be as good as fold 7. Right now my life is a mess between Apple ecosystem and Samsung and I have everything latest from both ecosystem. Heck I carry work phone and personal phone every day and depending upon mood switch watches from both system. Not sure how long I can keep my feet 🐾 in both canoes. Apple please come up with fold 8 killer. Don't even get me started on iPad and s10 ultra that I play on.

I came back home to galaxy today after a long year! Went from a fold 3 for 3 years to a 6 that broke 2 times. Then I went to the dark side for a year and I'm finally back!
So I just got one a few hours ago. I think one thing I need to do is stop treating it as if it's extremely fragile. After watching JerryRigEverything put it through its paces I think I can treat the device like a normal phone, just won't dig anything blunt into the inner screen. I was feeling like I'd break it when I would fold the phone but I now just kinda fold it like a book and not worry about it.

I switched from the Fold 5. Just received it yesterday and god damn does this Fold 7 make the Fold 6 look like outdated tech. Absolutely blown away by how thin and light it is to use this device. Closed it genuinely feels like a normal smartphone now, even with a case.

So apparently the Z Fold 7 has broken pre-order records
I preordered the mint 512 from Samsung. Initially it was supposed to arrive yesterday. Then day by day the delivery date got pushed to August 12th. I went to chat to see if I could swap for an in stock color and they said my only option would be cancelation. And it might affect any promos on the original order. I was told to reply to an email when it shipped and they would give me a partial refund for my trouble. I got confirmation of a $110 refund on my order after I advised them of my shipping notification (yesterday) hopefully the rest of the process goes as smooth. I should have the phone on Monday.
Got your exact spec a couple weeks ago and love it! Hope you ordered your case(s). Slim pickens.
Sweet mama this thing is miles better than fold 3. I can type on the cover screen normally!
I'm blown away. Completely blown away. I really don't want to put a case on it. Might put something in it but it would be a shame to ruin this thing.

When opened, it's too big of a device not to have the ability to use a Spen.
A decent case should be included with the Fold7 because it is so light weight and it's surfaces are so smooooooth it's easy to fumble it if you're not mindful to keep a proper grip on it. I'm very protective of mine until I can find a case I like. Like at night when I put it on the night stand by bed I place it on a soft cloth, lol. It never gets set down on any hard surface unless I make sure there aren't particles on that surface that could press against either the cover screen or camera lenses and risk marring them.
When will the great case shortage end?!

After a long wait, finally managed to snag the Galaxy Fold 7! 📱✨
Got the full protection setup:
The hype was real - these were selling out everywhere!
Now the dilemma: what should I install first? The glass protector or try out the cases? Any tips from fellow Fold 7 owners?
Also curious how others are finding the anti-flicker film on the Samsung cases - worth it?
I returned the Samsung case as it is only one shell that protects the half with the camera, then screen film for the cover screen. For the $55 price I felt like I can do better plying the pages on Amazon.

Got my Z Fold 7 today and I’m seriously impressed. This thing feels like a mini laptop! Super happy with the upgrade. 🔥🙌
Went to local store to try one. Coming from a s22 ultra. Previously tried a Fold 3 & returned. Played with the demo for like an hour and felt comfortable enough to hit other att stores to risk the $55 return policy if I do not like.
So far so good, but dealing with specific headaches .. f'example, Kindle App (single screen/not the big one) is either too small font or too big. Actually, I had to bump the font in general since the outer screen is smaller then the s22. I still think I'll use the outer one 75%+ of the time, but when I need the bigger one (like remote work.. or maybe a good puzzle game, it's in the "glad I have it" category)
Since I just ordered my fold 7 what are the best magnetic batterys I should consider getting since I know I will be using this heavily every day and don't want it to go out on a single charge

Just my two cents, as a Fold 7 owner, the Supcase (with UB Grip Magsafe) is the best case I've ever owned.
The elegance of this handset is not lost, cloistered in the shell, rather it's mating beauty with resilience.
It provides tempered glass built into the front cover, instead of a separate frame and stick-on screen protector. And the spine protector makes for a great grip for book-style use.
The magsafe is top quality. Holding better to my vehicle charger magnet better than my S23 Ultra had.
I risk my F7 as a line lineworker while digging holes or climbing a utility pole and I have full confidence in bringing this to any worksite, provided I open the spine cover and blow off mico dust before I dare open for full screen.
Don't let an image or video deter you from approaching this case. It adds no significant bulk!

I got it on Sunday, still moving stuff over from my S22 Ultra. I like it a lot but my main annoyance is the power button, why did they recess it so much? Should be on the same level as the volume buttons, especially with how thin it is.
same here!! i got mine today and upgrading from s22 ultra and im loving it!! though s22 ultra camera seems better
i find the power button irritating too.. hard to use with nails
It's hard to use with a case on, especially for fingerprints. Idk if there's a fix for it, guess you have to get used to it.
Bought it in store two days ago. It's awesome! I read and play a lot, so it's perfect for me.
If I had to find one negative point, that would be the rear camera: Too big and bulky!
Overall, it's a 9/10 device, with great durability and a very good battery.

Only can use on earbud, watch, ring and tablet.
I was going to get the $800 tablet but performance is quite bad.

Owner for a week now, love the color and everything except the battery.
Got mine today by cancelling my original order and nabbing one available today at a different best buy location. Happy to report it folds incredibly smoothly and opens at a near perfect 180 degrees. Super satisfied !!

Got the mint last thurs and absolutely love it. Big upgrade from the 24 ultra. And also snagged the matching silicone kick stand by samsung. Combo is 🔥.

I received the phone and went thru the process of copying everything from the Fold 4 but I'm not getting ANY sound from the 7. Even did a factory reset and nothing.
18% battery lost while the screen is off overnight. Is this normal?
Mobile data on. I see Messenger runs in the background for 7 hours. Facebook runs in the background for 5 hours. Google Play Services runs 14 hours in the background.
Is this what's causing this? 18% lost is abysmal.
I only have had a few percent each night, I don't have Facebook app installed I use PWA

Just received this today while i wait for my benks case. Its less than 7 dollars. The only issue is the front facing camera cutout is too big. If it wasnt for that i would keep this and be done with it. A very cheap and good option for those waiting for something better.

My z fold 7 already restarted twice for no reason. Anyone experienced this too?
Got myself a Fold7 Blue Shadow today. No gaps, unfolds straight. It's amazing. I will be using the Fold7 as my main driver and Fold4 as my secondary driver(beaches, extreme sports, high drop risk situations etc).
I am also going to keep using my fold 4 for the same reason. Getting down and dirty with my plants / garden etc
Hows the battery compared to the fold 4? Thats my main concern, Im using the fold 4 but i want a phone that has a significantly better battery.
I would say its noticeably better compared to the 4. Charging speeds are the same but it definitely lasts longer. I would same I'm an avid user and my fold 4 would need to be charged before work was over with, 8-10 hours of on and off use. The 7 gets me through the day with a bit of juice left over albeit I do charge in the car to and from, and while on break. It does use less energy with gaming too. I would play a game on my fold 4 and watch thr battery dissappear by the minute.
Today will be my first day of full use, i will see soon.
Love the Fold but I'm probably part of the minority who isn't that big of a fan of the big cover screen. I find it hard to one hand compared to my fold 4.
Goodlock offers one hand gestures that make it easier to get a handle on the things 😉. Although the fold 4 is a great size in therms of screen, it is also a brick.....

I'm loving the ZF7 I got it on the 24th! I've got to post this here.I don't know if anyone else notices how good the main display looks. I have a pixel 9 pro xl , iphone 16 pro max and a ZF6. The displays are really good on all my phones.But this ZF7 display it's so much better than any phone.I've ever had. The d p I and the resolution. Don't let that fool you. On paperThe screen shouldn't look this good.It almost looks three dimensional like you can reach in and grab the icons. This friggin' display is blown my mind. It's the biggest Improvement that I noticed drastically. Anybody else blown away by the quality of the main display?
long time pixel fan here, with Pixel 9 Pro XL the latest one i used until last week. Got my Z fold &7, first foldable and I am too blown away by the cover display. I applied the Samsung anti-reflective screen protector and man the display is awesome. All the wallpapers looks so good on it.
