It looks like framing lumber sloppily screwed together and not even sanded. It probably weighs a ridiculous amout. For reference, a high quality bedside bassinet is like $200 tops.

I think it's awful because of the low height of the sides. Babies as young as three or four months old can pull themselves up and lean over far enough to fall out (maybe younger, I'm trying to be realistic).
TBH I have a wild theory that this has to have been for a dog and the person couldn't sell it that way so they shifted the listing to bassinet and lied about a baby being in there...
I feel weird over the fact that two clippies are talking to each other and neither one asked if they needed some help writing a research paper about crib safety.
I know nothing about kids, but I do know baby cribs and things like this are constantly being recalled for kids getting stuck or dying. I feel this would be one of those being recalled.
Eesh. If we're gonna try to market this as like a rustic style bassinet, we could at least make it look more finished 😆 stain it or SOMETHING. I would, however, not even mess with anything that could potentially (and, from the looks of it, very likely) harm anyone's blessing. Maybe they're asking for so much so they can try to start covering the inevitable lawsuit lmao.

It's definitely sanded, you can see the rounded edges. I don't think it's AWFUL execution, just plain and practical. EDIT: okay it's bad

A kids head could easily fit through those slats.
...okay I take it back

I feel using it as scrap wood is better than the liability involved with marketing it for a baby. Eeek
This was my first thought. I've pictured this in my head as something I want to make for my dog lol.
And with a mattress on there? Yeah nah.
Exactly, and with a mattress on it, they'll be even more likely to be able to climb out!
The only thing right about your post is the execution part, since this could easily kill an infant.
2x4s come with rounded edges. You gotta pay extra for square edges (called S4S)
“Very sturdy”
No doubt.
Looks like a high school advanced woodshop project lol. Kinda cool but way over priced
High school workshops, especially advanced classes, put out far superior quality furniture to this monstrosity!

I don't see the good taste
Right, looks janky as fuck

Gotta get the Sheetrock up, they’ll lose some square footage, but baby Kyle can practice punching holes in the walls from day 1
25 lbs for a 9 month old is a lot, no?
Yeah it’d be a pretty big baby. We have a 5 month old who just cracked 19 lbs (he is so heavy) but friends whose kid was just 20 lbs at one year
It's on the larger side but still within the healthy weight range for a 9 month old.

Somebody over estimated the materials for their project...tsk, tsk
